I had such a great morning with the business students from Wodonga Senior Secondary College. Inspiring the next generation of business leaders.

Posted • Today Casey had the pleasure of speaking with the Wodonga Senior Secondary College year 11 Business students about being a woman in business, running her own successful business, failing in business and all about My Little Marketing Co and the Business Hubs.

It was really fun and she even learnt all about a new trend called ‘Be Real’!!

I just got back from a fabulous weekend in Melbourne!! We did ALL the things and it wasn’t relaxing at all, but it was brilliant and for the full 6 days I was off I didn’t work for 5 of them (progress)!

Back to work tomorrow and ready for the 200 emails sitting in my inbox 🤦🏻‍♀️.

P.S - if you haven’t seen it already I would 1000 times recommend seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the ex*****on of this production could not be faulted. Absolutely astoundingly amazing!!

Last week I caught up with one of our My Little Marketing Co. clients at the National Zoo & Aquarium Canberra!

I got to see the fabulous work our client has done there and got a real understanding of their needs so we can better assist with their promotions!

And, we just happened to be walking past these Llamas during feeding time so we couldn’t resist the opportunity to feed them and give them a pat.

On Friday morning was assisting with the event management of Step Change walk with Guy Sebastian and his best mate Tim.

I’d been in talks with the Sebastian foundation team since before Christmas last year about this event and I’m so glad it finally got to happen!!

I have to admit, I get to do some pretty bloody cool things in my job. 13 years and counting and I’m still not sick of it ❤️

How did you spend your long weekend??

I spent mine checking out some events in Sydney and Canberra. Kicking off with the live Penn and Teller show at the Sydney Opera House (it was amazing!!), then on the walk back we checked out .

Once we were back in Canberra I got to experience my first ever Ice Hockey game 🏒

A fun weekend of new experiences and events.

When was the last time you checked your social media and website analytics?

Your analytics allow you to very easily and effectively learn what your audience cares about and engages with and what influences their purchasing decisions. These insights allow you to then update your marketing to suit and help increase your online engagement.

Passing on my knowledge and experience is something I am very passionate about. I am 100% for collaboration and growth of not only myself but also others, especially those that want information in things that I know a bit about!

People often talk about competitors and competition, and yes, it does exist, BUT it’s not something I am scared of in business. Not every single client is meant for you, some are meant for your ‘competition’ and that’s amazing!!

Last night I was fortunate enough to be asked by the to speak to their 2023 entrants about how to use social media for promotion. It was absolutely lovely to meet 6 of the 7 women who will be stepping outside of their comfort zones to not only raise money for charity but to also grow as individuals.

I don't know if you know this but I have been spending A LOT of time in Canberra lately, driving back and forward to see my partner. One of the great things about Canberra, is the number of events they have each year, with so many of them free to the public.

It has been so amazing to see people come together again and watch the wonder of lights and magic. We rose at 5am to head out to Lake Burley Griffin to watch the Balloon Spectacular, and for someone who is not a morning person, it was totally worth it!!

all the way back to 2012 when I successfully completed my Bachelors degree!

I remember having absolutely no idea what I wanted to do when I started uni, and it wasn’t until the end of my first year after I completed my first marketing subject that my passion for marketing and events developed. I definitely knew I was never going to be an accountant or an economist or anything that involved a lot of numbers 😂.

10 years later, I’ve been in the same career, I’ve grown and learnt a lot, and I can’t imagine doing anything else

On Friday we travelled over to Temora to set up for an event at the Temora Town Hall for the FarmLink Winter Ball!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 7 hours of set up for a great night on Saturday!! We will be posting more photos from the event over the coming weeks 😊. For now we are having an early night and getting ready for a couple of weeks off!!

Event preparation - stuffing gift bags ready for the next @soulfully_women event in July!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not done yet, still heaps of goodies to put into these little bags.

On Sunday the old House on the Hill branding came off the car ready for the next chapter!! I’m not sure what I’ll do with the car branding now, leave it white, get it redone, just do the back!! What’s your experience with branding on the car? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am loving having half a plain white car again (the @soulfully_women branding is still on the drivers side)!!

Today I headed over to Leeton for some @becbusinessadvice client meetings and to catch up with the team over there!! What a trip it was with all the rain and flash flooding!! Ultimately it was a great day, I loved being in Leeton and plan on spending more time over there over the coming months!! Where is your favourite place to travel for work?

House on the Hill Marketing was opened in 2018 by Casey Wilson. Casey is a local Wagga girl, moving to the Riverina when she was 10, she completed her high schooling at Mater Dei Catholic College and then went on to study at Charles Sturt University, obtaining her Bachelor of Business Marketing / Organisational Communications in 2012.

A passionate Event Manager, Casey has been working in the events and marketing industry for over 10 years. During her 10 year events career she has been fortunate enough to rub shoulders with some pretty great people including, Dr Karl, Stephen Bradbury, Michelle Bridges, Kate Ceberano, Tim Campbell and Ahn Do. Casey is a relaxed professional who prides herself on attention to detail and ensuring all events run smoothly for her clients. Having worked on some exciting local events, including the Wagga Business Chambers Golden Crow Awards, and the Albury Wodonga Business Awards, Casey is looking to expand her portfolio of events moving forward.

Recently Casey has found a passion for women’s health and wellness and has added a new brand under the House on the Hill Marketing company. “Soulfully Women” was created after a series of successful high tea events, originally branded “From Brunch to Lunch – the Ultimate Women’s Lunch”. These lunches provided informative presentations and a safe space for women to come together to support one another and enjoy a great day out. In 2020 Soulfully Women will be presenting a women’s health and wellness expo in Wagga and Albury plus we are looking at developing a soulful merchandise line.
