Hello flower friends! I realised after all this time I haven’t properly introduced myself! My name is Hayley Fox and I’m the gal behind Foxy Hollows Flower Farm.
We are a family of 3, myself, our gorgeous 3yo little lady Jnr Fox and hubby Mr Fox (the guy who fixes my irrigation and rolls his eyes when I talk about needing more flowers!)
Set in beautiful Launching Place Victoria, our fields are bursting with flowers that reflect the season, from beautiful ranunculus in the spring to magnificent dinnerplate dahlias in Summer to Autumn and countless varieties in between.
We source seeds from a small network of specialty seed farmers and grow many of the varieties right here on the farm.
Much of my childhood was spent at my grandparents’ home in Geelong West home, where I would follow my Grandmother around her garden, carrying nothing but a butter knife and the uncanny ability to grow beautiful blooms simply by talking to them . I have always felt a deep sense of connection to nature and the outdoors.
I have grown a successful career in project / change management, where my love of growing / improving things have continued.
It wasn’t until I started maternity leave and I started to grow my own dahlias that I realised this was my calling.
Over the past three seasons I have gradually expanded our farm with the plan to continue to learn and further expand.
We are a micro farm set on only 2.5 acres, we don’t spray nasties and I pride myself on giving you the freshest blooms straight from our farm to you.
I still remember our first customer who purchased our first bunch and seeing how our flowers made them feel and connect with me was my turning point. I knew at this point I had found my calling
I love the thought of sharing what I grow with my daughter (Jnr Fox) and showing her the importance of strong Aussie Growers, protecting our environment, minimising waste and treating land with the respect it needs.
Every bunch I’m reminded of that very first bunch sold and many more I have sold or gifted and look forward to sharing this with you along the way.
I hope you enjoy following and I’m sincerely grateful for allowing me to share our seasons, my lessons and our little flower farm with you.
Hayley XX
