Interested in an insight into my thinking & how it could affect you when you book me ? Read on if you are.
I was booked for a Friday wedding in the Yarra Valley . It was my option 2 , reception only with 5pm access to the venue . Couple entry at 6pm.
Driving to a wedding booking on a Friday arvo in outer Melbs via the Monash FW then Eastlink was a risk I wasn’t prepared to take . I’m a very sensible & cruisy driver . So the opposite of the majority of those who run the freeways of Melbourne. Omg , so many nose to tails & car rollovers these days . So not prepared to take this risk i left Warragul through Neerim South to Powell town to the Yarra Valley evading the freeways . I also left at 1.30pm ( cos Music is all I do , no day job ) so have flexibility. Got to the venue at 3.30pm , found a spot under a tree out of the way & read till 5pm . I set up with music playing at 5.20pm. Dressed and event ready by 5.30pm .
Couple entered at 6pm as planned and we all had a fabulous wedding celebration & party !! Book me if you like my style !

Booking music or vibe? No matter whether you are booking an event , wedding , festival or party you all receive 💯 service & communication. Here is an example . About 7.30pm last night ( Monday ) I received an email enquiry . I replied straight back asking a couple of questions. Q’s were answered. I wrote back with fee. Client confirmed this morning .
All done in 24 hours .
So many of my clients appreciate my very prompt communication.
I say there is no point in having a phone in your pocket with email if you are going to make people wait for a reply . My 📧 is [email protected] . Let’s chat .

FYI couples ☺️

There has been a recent change for celebrants and holding meetings. Rather than every meeting being with the couple, we are now required (by law) to have individual meetings with each party to a marriage. So, if I ask to have a moment individually during any of our meetings, please don’t assume something is up, just doing my job :)

ANNOUNCEMENT.
Most Gippsland wedding vendors would agree that bookings for the incoming 2024/25 wedding season are patchy . Lots of us have gaps .

When I receive enquiries I send back my info same day or at the very latest , the next morning . Most enquiries I don’t hear back.
I generally don’t follow up for a decision .

The season just completed I had 34 weddings .
If you add in the other types of events I get asked to do add 20 to that number so I don’t have to worry too much about my business .

This season coming is as I said , patchy . Here’s what I have currently.
2024
September- 2 bookings.
October- near capacity.
November- near capacity.
December- near capacity

2025.
January- Some key dates still available.
February-some key dates available.
March- near capacity .
April-only 2 bookings.
May -only 2 bookings.

Some of my months obviously need filling.

However , I won’t be taking everything that rolls in .
I only want to take bookings from those who have heard good things about my vibe.
Or , have been recommended by mates or relatives .

If you are looking at venues currently I do have a soft spot for Mewburn Park in Maffra . I wouldn’t be where I am today without Julia & Adams recommendations to their couples . Half of my weddings are at MP.

Maffra is my second home having been adopted by the beautiful community there . Quite a few of my bookings are also at the The Vines on Avon .

Let’s celebrate your marriage with family & friends, we are here to make your dream a reality.
That means we help you along the way with all our expertise, contacts to wedding suppliers and a venue coordinator for your wedding day, so your day runs smooth and all vendors are aligned.
We’ll meet 6-8 weeks prior and discuss everything in our ‘detail meeting’.

Quite often we get asked, ‘and who is doing what’ on the day!?

In your venue hire included is all furniture for your ceremony and reception. Out team here at Mewburn Park will set it all up according to your bespoke floor plan. On the day itself the venue coordinator will liaise with all your suppliers, making sure it’s exactly what you wanted. We also run the bar, and with that everything bar related is looked after by us (glassware & co).

Your caterer however will look after everything food related, so all things cutlery & crockery, napkins etc. But be rest assured years of working together has made this a smooth sailing and a perfect work synthesis.
