ENGAGEMENT STORIES 🤍🤍

It was a Monday night, John had been off work with a dislocated elbow. So he had time to plan! 😂 he had messaged me that day saying we should take our dog Eddie for a walk when I got home, so we did. John had said he found this new track so off we went. We headed to the flume and walked through the sand dunes. On the way back there was a seat that looked out over the ocean and breakwater. We sat there for a little while watching Eddie run around. With that John had asked if I was ready to go and I was like yep and got up to walk away, with that John had grabbed my arm and told me to hang on. So as I turned around he was down on one knee!! 🥹 and of course the easiest yes I’ve ever had to say!!! ❤️

So he had the ring for a few years, i’d known he had it from when it was put on layby, thats a whole other story!

So leading upto the moment kinda became an inside joke, occasionally pretending to drop a knee here an there, afew times he had ideas but the plans never worked out or who knows!

But he had booked a mini 3 day cruise as my xmas present, we agreed to stay at crown the night before the cruise. Leading upto the day we had joked, he told me to be ready to leave ontime at a certain point in the next few weeks, when he says we gotta go, we gotta go. It was a family event day, an he’d use my dad to help me leave. The only event we had with my dad was boxing day, he then tried to throw me off but i knew something was up.

I re curled my hair inbetween lunch, and he didnt even notice. We drove from lunch, into the hotel, checked in as per normal, then argued going upto the room about who had the key to open the door, when realising i had it he took it off me, found the room an then smiled an gave me back the key, as i opened the door to the hotel room i just burst into laughter, then heard camera clicks and the photographer jumps up from behind a couch to capture the moment.

He said he had to catch me off guard, i knew he was upto something that day but wasnt expecting anything in the hotel room haha!
It was perfect, then we got to be in our own bubble for afew days on the cruise and come back just in time for the new year!
