Did you know that Marriage Celebrants work under a Code of Practice?

Celebrants in Australia are registered under 3 different categories:
1. Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrants (including the sub-catagory of Religious Marriage Celebrants)
2. Ministers of Religion
3. State and Territory Officers (Registry Office)

The Celebrant Code of Practice only applies to Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrants (Including Religious Marriage Celebrants)

The Code of Practice states Under paragraph 39I(1)(b) of the Marriage Act 1961 that if a celebrant does not comply with their obligations including the Code of Practice, then disciplinary action may be taken.

Obligations within the Code of Practice are:

- Maintaining a high standard of service
- Recognition the significance of marriage
- Compliance with the Marriage Act and other laws
- General requirements for Marriage Ceremonies
- Knowledge and understanding of family relationship services

Natalie and Daniel enjoyed one of the most amazing venues I’ve ever seen. The Wild Vine on the Oura Road, Wagga was spectacular on a cold, wet and saturated Saturday afternoon. They skilfully handled a change in setting to indoors which was every bit as beautiful as outdoors! Natalie & Daniel take everything in their stride and come out shining on the other side. Eve Photography saw to that! Such beautiful photos Mr & Mrs Daniel & Natalie Jolly!!

I love seeing all the gorgeous photos that come in after the mud settles. Bec & Gecko’s photos are no exception. Grace Dillon Photography has captured these two perfectly. Their wedding day involved a huge blackout, endless rain, Covid and 3 exhausted little ladies. Bec and Gecko just smiled through it all and made the most of their day. It’s the country way❤️❤️
PS hope the Christmas present umbrellas were re-wrapped and ready for another day 🤣🤣
