While most of 2025 is well under way with bookings and some suppliers already booked 😱 it’s time to consider booking your 2026 wedding… especially if you are wanting to book around popular times of the year.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒆𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆?
REEF FESTIVAL - we have our annual reef festival the first week of August and it can be quite busy in town
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS - look up QLD school holiday calendar
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND FESTIVE SEASON - depending on the holiday, you may have trouble securing available wedding vendors (off season for us is our only chance for a break)
MUSIC FESTIVAL - Early November we hold Airlie Beach Music Festival and boy oh boy does it get busy in town
AIRLIE BEACH RACEWEEK - middle of August is the tune of year for Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island Raceweek

Some of these dates are still a good time of the year to consider booking due to the lovely weather but it’s definitely worth looking into getting your accommodation and vendors booked early.
In addition… it might be worth mentioning to your guests as well; to ensure they lock in their accommodation sooner.
