Sarah giving Todd his weekly bubble bath which he is enjoying thoroughly! Todd has been in the Living Reef for years and has learned to trust the divers who come in a clean the windows. He will often enjoy sitting in their bubbles or getting a rub from them. 💙
Hawkfish @ Daydream Island Resort
Hawkfish are known for perching on top of rocks high in the reef and looking down for prey just like a hawk would! They can move quickly to catch small animals which makes up most of their diet. They do not have a swim bladder which is another reason why they tend to perch rather than swim.

Longhorn Cowfish are so named because of the horns protruding from their heads. They are really a type of boxfish and can exude a toxin into the water if bothered. Our resident Longhorn Cowfish is affectionately named Cheddar.

Every sunset you can see our colony of flying foxes making their way off the island to find food. They will return in the early morning and sleep for the day. You can spot them along the boardwalk roosting in the rainforest! Flying foxes are a keystone species and are one of the only long-distance pollinators and seed dispersers in the Whitsundays.
