2025... We are finally here! I've been hanging to write these words for a while. Please read on!
Short Version
From 2025, Halo Ent will only be taking on last minute DJ bookings, in other words, dates over the next few months. Get in touch if you need a last minute DJ!
Long Version
It's been unknown to many but it's the year of change for Halo Entertainment. For the last 12+ months I haven't taken on any new bookings for 2025+, and have had to turn down so many weddings 😢
Why? Kids. That's right, my two little humans are growing up too fast and I will be spending more of my weekends cleaning up after them + taking them to sports and weekend adventures. This DJ life isn't made for dads (and mums!) of young school aged kids. Trying to balance both (being a super DJ + being a dad) just doesn't work for us right now. Plus I nearly forgot to mention that I have always maintained a full time job whilst being the DJ /aka button pusher at Halo Entertainment. So I live a pretty hectic lifestyle!
What does this mean for me? I'm not quite hanging up the 🎧 yet and haven't sold off any of my equipment! Instead, I have introduced a new working model. I will be opening up a limited and short term booking window. Picture me as someone with a long term commitment issue. So at this stage, I will be opening up some weekends for Q1 of 2025. Following Q1 of 2025, I'll open up bookings for Q2 for 2025.
Who will this work for? Obviously my new arrangement won't work for super organised couples looking at securing their vendors well in advance. Instead, this is more aimed at couples who have decided on a DJ last minute. Either from a change of mind with reception ideas or a wedding that has been planned on short notice! My new structure will also help other wedding DJ's or Entertainment agencies who may need a replacement DJ on short notice.
