My Name is Tom Coburn,
I reside on the south coast of NSW, Australia. Growing up next to the ocean I developed a passion for surfing early, and through that, surf film making and photography. I started documenting the characters and intricacies of the ocean from a young age, and continue to do so. I never set out to become anything in particular, only to live creatively and push the scope of my ex

perience for adventure. But when a wedding photographer friend asked me to come along and shoot the greatest adventure in most anyone’s life, I knew I had found my niche. I see life in angles, in lines of perspective, a slight turn of the head, the blink of an eye, subtle glimpses of magic other folk might pass by. To me, filmmaking is not a service, its an art form. I like to think of your booking as a commission for an artwork, that you can view and enjoy for the rest of your days. I find satisfaction in capturing and documenting one of the most important days of your life in the way that I see it. Every wedding is a memorable experience for me. On the day, there is no team of 4 or 5 crew setting up tripods and cranes all over and causing a distraction, it is just me, subtly capturing what I see, when I see it. Life on the road is something I was raised to embrace, I am happy to travel whatever distance it may be to be there on your day.
