I import & stock internationally renowned labels & dresses that are only of the highest quality & nothing less than stunning. I've never believed that when it comes to your wedding dress one size fits all. I offer you one-on-one consultations, & we can make the gown your own. I’ll be able to fit your dress to your body shape, with the design inspiration for your wedding in mind. We can take a new dress or design, or we can recreate your mother’s bridal gown to be yours forever. Hi Brides-to-be,
I had my bride, Michelle, come for her first fitting for the Martina Liana 1467. This was the first time she had tried it on since she ordered it. As I was pinning her dress, she said to me, “I was so worried I wouldn't love it anymore.”
I replied, “Oh, no. Really?”
She had ordered her dress seven months ago and her wedding is in March 2024.
The bride explained, “I see these pages of brides either regretting their dress choices, or not fitting their dresses anymore, and are re-selling them.”
So, I asked, “Did the majority of brides on these pages buy their wedding dresses more than a year or two before their weddings?”
“Yes, they did,” she replied.
This is the main reason I created my policy at Accapella Bridal — I do not make appointments for brides whose wedding is more than a year away. I have seen too many brides either change their mind about their dress, or increase/decrease in size and are forced to make major alterations.
Brides need to be happy with their dress choice. I do not want my brides to ever regret the dress they have selected. I also do not want my brides to try their dress on and realise they are going to need major alterations as they bought their dress too early. My policy helps brides to keep their alterations more controlled and, therefore, remain happy with their decision.
Brides, just remember you do not need to buy or look for your dress more than a year in advance. At Accapella Bridal, alterations are finalised 3-4 weeks before your wedding date to get the best fit for your wedding day. I have also completed alterations one week before the big day.

Hi Brides-to-Be,
The boutique will be closed from Saturday 2 March until Tuesday 5 March, as I am going on the shortest overseas trip ever.
I will be visiting Birmingham, UK, for the showings of designers Essense of Australia, Martina Liana & All Who Wander. Keep an eye on my social media pages as I share updates on what I see.
This is a great trip for brides getting married from November onwards, as you will get a sneak-peak at what is coming in. This is why I always say to not buy too early!

Hi Brides-to-be ,
I had a bride that emailed me on Saturday with the heading: URGENT ‼️
She explained that she was not happy with her dress despite it having already been altered. She had purchased a Madi Lane dress, but the boutique she bought it from had ordered a size 18 as she was breastfeeding when she went for her consultation.
When we were in the change room, I explained that I would normally refuse to sell a gown to a lady who had just had a baby, because the body goes through so many changes in the months that follow, especially when you finish breastfeeding. I always say to wait until 5 months out from the wedding before deciding on the size to order, even if you've decided which dress you love. Turns out I DID say that to the bride, and she went ahead and bought the dress elsewhere!
She knew I'd pull through, though. We've found her a correctly sized replacement dress from my rack, and it fits much better than her previously altered one could ever be made to fit. Her wedding is in just 11 days so we were very lucky to have one the right size and style in stock for her!
No photos today, to protect the bride's privacy. It's an expensive process to buy two dresses.
Brides -- I've been in the business longer than many of you have been alive -- I don't say things like 'it's too early to order your dress' just to hear the sound of my own voice! If I make a recommendation, it is always, ALWAYS, in your best interest.

Hi Brides-to-be, Well, that wraps up Essense of Australia 'I do' Bridal week! Despite the exhaustion of the lonnnnng flight combined with the short trip, it was an amazing experience. My days were 9am to 3pm watching parades and viewings of each label. They hosted workshops on spot-cleaning and fixing pulls on the dresses, which were very enjoyable - the hosts of the workshops were very knowledgeable. Overall, they really put on a magnificent show, with bridal boutique owners from around the world 🌍. I attended this show on my own and, as always, I made decisions and bought dresses on my own. I sat near a mother-and-daughter duo who owned a bridal boutique in Ireland and they could not believe I run the boutique all on my own as well as doing all of the alterations. Brides, if you are getting married from November onwards there is so much variety coming in. I hope to see you soon Connie 🥰
