200 Hustle Boxing sessions by April 30 - Mission accomplished ✅

The first hundred took a year.
The second hundred took under nine months.

Three atomic changes got me to the finish line.

1. Getting nutrition right with simple supplementation:
For me that combo is iron, protein, fibre.

Without weight loss being a primary goal, I managed to shred 9kg in this time, while I’ve put on lean muscle mass.

2. Finding the closest thing to a cure for my dyspraxia and hypermobility

I’ve spent my whole life wonky, uncoordinated and injury recovering. Turns out that along with my ADHD, having poor proprioception is the core way it affects me.

Medicated, I am no longer so physically disabled for the first time in my life. It’s now that fu***ng simple.

3. Giving up alcohol
It’s been 10 months since I’ve had a drink. Zero regrets.

It’s not about the nights out or intoxication.
Bargaining. Compromises. Consequences of average decisions. Decision fatigue. All wasted energy I can instead direct into action.

Back to the mission 🥊

Ultimately when you have what your body needs, and nothing feels like an excuse, you just get it done.

I decided I was getting to 200 sessions, and nothing was going to stop me:

Not the studio flooding and having to train the other side of town.
Getting back to it after being sick (three times!)
Managing old injuries.
Working for 20 days straight over Mardi Gras.
Making time for rest.
Nothing.

This is the power of making small changes.

Imagine if I was stuck wondering if a glass of wine was worth it, instead of using that to get myself to training on days where I was actually tired?

The fact that this energy, focus and dedication spills into EVERY area of my life, is not lost on me. I’m very grateful that both the process of getting to my goal, and actually teaching it, has made many things clearer.

But I also need to say a huge thank you to all the team at who have been there to support, push, guide, help, make me laugh, pick good tunes to smash bags to and keep inspiring me to be better.

Talk about time travel - we almost forgot what year it was!

Bye 2023 - I’m celebrating the ugly behind the spotlight 💋

Upon reflection, 2023 was really a year of many achievements. You’ve probably seen many of my louder ones, but I’m actually prouder of the quieter ones.

❌ I quietly and unceremoniously stopped drinking for better long term health. 6 months booze free and I couldn’t be happier about my choice!

🙌🏻 After TWENTY YEARS of neurological uncertainty and appointments, I finally confirmed my ADHD Diagnosis.

Honestly, it was a rough as f&$k and re-traumatising process. I spent many hours crying and feeling totally useless. BUT…

Affirming who I am.
Having the right resources to help me focus.
Having non-impaired physical coordination for the first time in my life…
… has been quite revolutionary.

🥊 Finally, thanks to my ADHD meds fixing my dyspraxia and - I’m the fittest and strongest I’ve ever been in my life.

I wake up many of my days grateful. Motivated. Excited. Creative. and proud of the life I have built for myself.

Other days, no one sees the moments that I’ve sat almost frozen in my room, unable to move because my brain or body won’t function.

I say goodbye to 2023 proud that I managed ANYTHING before having my ADHD diagnosis.

But I’m hoping in 2024, that my day-to-day continues to improve so I can focus more on what maters.

I think every time made a posts about product suggestions I’ve been screaming ‘GLUTEN FREE TIM TAMS’ via the keyboard…

14.5 years of living gluten free, my prayers have been answered.

Silver Linings ☀️

Today I had to drop off my darling for some work. 🥲

Although I’m gutted I’m without wheels for a couple of weeks, it was delightful to jump on a ferry down the Parramatta River to head to the studio. ⛴️

It’s amazing how you can live in a city for 10 years and still see new places. Very fortunate to be able to do that by water!

I hope you get to enjoy the sun… I get to work on my studio tan 🤪

Something I’ve learned about myself is that I do my best writing work when I’m either
💕 Super comfy and in bed, or
🍃On a walk or somewhere outdoors

So today I decided to embrace the spring weather and opted for some trees and sunshine as my writing backdrop. ☕️

I’m very fortunate that the Botanic Gardens and is a short walk from home. I just have to remind myself to get out of my comfort zone of my house… there’s a solid philosophy/lesson in there 😅

This April I will be splitting my time between my home-town of and my LUVER-town ☀️💗

This weekend after soaking up some and at ivy, I will be spinning turns from 9pm at at .sydney just around the corner! 🪩🙌🏻

But for all my family and long time friends in R-ADelaide - I’m flying over to DJ for the

Plus… I locked in a cheeky set at my favourite ADL rooftop - where’s my crew?💃🏼

I’m also very pumped for on the terrace for an exciting Sunday Session 💃🏼Not often I get to play with so many legends on one line up. We are all certainly in for a treat! 🪩☀️

I’m also running away from home for a sneaky getaway over Easter - time for some much needed off grid recovery 🌿 Probably excited about this most of all!

‘I don’t know how you do it all! ‘

I had the pleasure of attending three awesome social events this weekend… Of course, this was sandwiched between four gigs 😅 But it was so necessary to have some quality social time.

So when I was catching up with people, the same sentiment of ‘how the hell do you do it all?’ came up over.
And over.
And over.
Again.

I think the funniest thing is, I don’t know how to NOT do it all!

I’m so blessed that I get to do what I love - even if it comes at the expense of sleep.
Or at the expense of missing out on other events.
Or having sore feet and bones on the regular!

I also work really hard to look after myself. I don’t drink much these days, and I eat well.
I go boxing 3 days a week, and walk about 6kms + most days.
I do an assisted stretch weekly to work on any aches and to help with my mobility.
I track my sleep and health data with and adjust accordingly.

And some days after giving it my all to the dance floors and people, I just have to space out in my pjs and just exist.

You have to sit with the emotional and energetic comedown after being at peak joy and flow, to feeling empty and sometimes, lonely.

Being any kind of creative comes with being comfortable with extreme highs and lows - I value both.

Contrast is what makes for a colourful life.

The reward of being lost in music in a sea of happy people… makes it all worth it. 💕

It feels like not too long ago I went to the very first Electronique hosted by at Harpoon Harrys!

I’ve always really admired the authenticity of these Electronique events, and everything that Mark Dynamix touches - no matter what decade of music - you feel like you’re transported there 💥

Fast forward a few years and I’m so humbled to be part of the All Star line up for this Friday’s party at my ever so favourite party den -

So what does a 80s baby know about the 80s? Thankfully how to dress in shiny fabrics and how to sling some 80s dance floor classics. 💜

Expect some Taylor Dane, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Sheryl Lee Ralph and other 80s legends.

I love to LUV music 🎶💕

Amazingly, I recovered really well from all those hours playing over - I genuinely surprised myself! 🦄

I put a lot of it down to looking after myself, staying low on the drinks, and giving myself rest in between. I’ve also kept showing up to a few times a week to challenge the body, punch out the stress, and leave feeling amazing emotionally and mentally.

I think back to how sick I was last year with the many editions of viral illness I had🦠! I’m just always so grateful for my health and the body’s ability to recover.

This means that this weekend I can enjoy a more relaxed pace with my sets and really just feel the music 🎶 💕

For those ready to venture out, I have three very relaxed alfresco gigs this weekend:

Sunday - LIVE - Manly 2pm - 5pm

No woman is safe until all women are safe.

Today is - I would like to acknowledge my privilege as an educated white woman living in Australia.

Yesterday, I was fortunate to spend time with some amazing mentors, mentees, colleagues, artists, and quiet industry legends. I’m very excited to see the evolution into the various chapters around the country.

It was beautiful to have two beautiful cultural introductions - First, the story accompanying the welcome to country from and her grandmother’s experience of being part of the stolen generation. Followed by Xylo from - singing a traditional Indian song from the 1700s. It was beautiful to hear the song and stories of women whose voices should have been heard more freely during their time on earth.

Unfortunately, for Indigenous, Blak and Trans/Gender Diverse people around the world - their voices are still not being heard, or are actively being silenced. Worse yet - their rights are being continually eroded.

I find it hard that in Australia we had the beautiful celebration of World Pride last week. Yet in the US, the rights of LGBTQIA+ people are being eroded - state by state, week by week. We are still seeing many people in the community experiencing harassment and violence from transphobic people in Australia.

Australia still has a long way to go til our Indigenous Australians have the same quality of life that the other 97% of Australia has.

No woman is safe until all women are safe.

Today I invite you to seek out women/gender-diverse and voices that you don’t often hear from.
