HOW TO BE A WEDDING PARTY HERO 🥂🍾💞
1. Be the no.1 cheerleader. You’re there to celebrate 2 important people in your life - keep the vibe high! Support your friends, tell them how amazing they are and share the moment. Be first on the dance floor, cheer loudest & smile widest. We advise keeping comms with The Big Duo calm & positive - if you have questions or concerns it might be best to direct them to the relevant vendor or the MC as a first stop.
2. Bring THE BAG - also known as the “Oh s*** kit” - paracetamol, sewing kit, double sided tape, bandaids, blister patches, baby wipes and safety pins are my heavy hitters. Better each of you has one of these than none of you!
3. Take care of their needs. Anyone in a gown will likely need assistance for bathroom breaks. Remind them to drink water & make sure they eat! Everyone will be so excited to see the newlyweds. Help out where you can, maybe help distract Auntie Pamela so that they can go pee!
4. Communicate with the vendors - you all want your
couple to have the BEST day! If you guys have an epic surprise- whether your entrance is amazing, you want to show a video or you’re performing a song - whatever it is, let the vendors know. We will keep it on the DL, make sure it’s documented and help pull it off.
5. Don’t panic. Weddings can be nerve wracking, not just for the people beginning a lifetime commitment. It’s normal to be nervous about walking down the aisle, standing at the top, your entrance or just generally being on show. The harsh way to quell these nerves is to tell you nobody’s looking at you - they’re there for the headline act. The nicer way to approach this is to remind you that you’re there because you’re important to the couple, and it’s only a moment in time. Take a deep breath and enjoy it 💞
