We hosted a shed lunch and garden tour at Longfield last week for the lovely and her crew from the Australian Club. Amazing sambos supplied by the and wine by was such a treat.
We used Osage oranges and seasonal flowers from the homestead garden to decorate the table, it was a beautiful setting and an amazing autumn day!! 🧡

If you are looking for a venue for your next private function or corporate information day, in a truely beautiful country setting… I know a place 😉

Almost two years ago now, my husband and I took it upon ourselves to restore this historic farm shed.

Originating from ‘Tubbo’, a historic sheep station in the Riverina, the shed is believed to be almost 150 years old, and now stands proudly (and complete!) at ‘Longfield,’ near Goulburn NSW.

The shed was an old farm machinery shed at ‘Tubbo,’ and we were permitted to take it down and re-locate it to prevent it being pushed over at its original location. The shed also includes beautiful timber from the old stables at Tubbo.

It’s been a long but worthwhile project, with many hurdles along the way, but we are so happy we took it on and can say we helped give this old beauty a new life.

A grazier with a dream.

Peter owns and farms Longfield together with his wife Robbie. They purchased Longfield in 1990 when it was in ruin, and they have been lovingly restoring it ever since to preserve and celebrate it’s rich history.

When Peter and Robbie initially visited Longfield they fell in love with the place, and it took Peter eight visits to the previous owner to convince him to sell it. A story of true persistence, passion and hard work.

Peter always hoped that one day the beautiful house and gardens could be shared with others, which is why Longfield is now available for weddings & events.
