Sorry I’ve been very slack at posting on my grid 🙈
Wedding season has officially kicked off so I’m a little slower in all areas of life at the moment 👀

This is a cute silk bouquet I made a few months ago, I had it posted on my other Instagram and it was by far the most requested bouquet for custom orders, the funny thing is.. I almost didn’t even share it 🙈

Throwback to this very last minute photo shoot I did a few days before I had Bobby 🙈

Not long before having Bobby it was a little crazy as I discovered a gap in the market with fun and colourful silk flowers and needed to get it off the ground before he arrived 🤯I didn’t want to miss an awesome opportunity 😅 I was literally running around like a crazy lady 😳

It’s been a very busy 4 months since he arrived. I really wasn’t sure how people would react to the silk flowers but turns out people are loving them 👏

It’s also been a lot more manageable for me as a Mum of two little ones. I absolutely love fresh flowers but living in rural NSW makes it tricky to service a large area of customers and obviously it’s also tricky working with a perishable product. This new venture is just fitting into my lifestyle much better - for now at least 👌

I have a busy wedding season coming up with fresh flowers which I’m super excited for but I have a feeling this will be my last hectic wedding season 🙈

I’ll keep sharing little snippets of my new venture until Instagram let me go back and use my other account 🤞

For anyone who was following me on my new venture at you might find that there is now nothing there. Instagram has suspended my account and I have no idea if and when I’ll be allowed back in. Lots of hard work went into that account so you can bet there has been a lot of tears the last 24 hours 😢

If I don’t hear back from Meta by Monday I will be using this Instagram account instead. I totally understand if you want to unfollow but I hope you stay for this rocky roller coaster ride 🙈

Business is bloody tough and I have literally put my blood, sweat and tears into Studio Alyssum, so this hiccup has really rattled me but I will not let this get me down. I will keep, keeping on because that’s what you do when you are so passionate about something 💪❤️

Sooo I am slowly starting to feel normal again after what was a crazy wedding season and after the birth of little Bobby! 🥰😅 what a whirlwind few months 🤣😵‍💫😁

There are lots of changes taking place as I shift into my new role as a mother of two little ones👶👧
I have decided to put a break on fresh flower deliveries until at least spring and focus on weddings and my new maternity leave side hustle which you can check out at 💐

I especially loved creating for this wedding because the ceremony was super bright and colourful and then the reception was neutrals with a pop of lilac! Love love loved it!! 😀

Little Studio Alyssum update for anyone wondering what the next few months will look like🤠

🌸This week we have three amazing weddings so we won’t be taking on any local flower deliveries (sorry to the locals who won’t get their flower fix this week 😢)

🌸Next week will be the last week you can order flowers for delivery for the next few months as little baby is due in the coming weeks 😻 (definitely pre-order if you are wanting flowers next week, website is open 24/7)

🌸The weekend of 31st/1st April marks our last weekend of weddings until August 🧚‍♀️

🌸Something very fun and colourful will soooooon (i promise it’s coming) be launching! I’m very very excited about this new project and spend most nights working on it 🧚‍♀️

Fun Fact: Flowers are
natural mood boosters 💫💫💫

Not only do plants and flowers relieve stress, they can actually make you happier by simply being around them.
I personally couldn’t agree more! 🕺

On the weekend I was missing my late grandma Joanie more than usual so I grabbed a vase and filled it with a bunch of Camomile and placed it next to her photo on our kitchen bench. It’s honestly giving me so much joy and it’s such a simple thing! I keep looking over at her photo smiling back at me amongst the camomile 🥹🥰

When it comes to planning what goes on your tables at your wedding or event do you get a little overwhelmed?!🤯

Here are a few tips to help you decide👇

⚪️Round tables of approx 10 people - I’d recommend a beautiful medium-large arrangement and then you could then add some bud vases either side for more impact.

⚪️Long trestle tables - depending on how long the table is I’d recommend a few medium to large arrangements and then add bud vases and candles in between 😍

⚪️cocktail set up - I’d recommend bud vases or small-medium arrangements on each table

If you are having shared plates then make sure to factor this in, as you don’t want your guests to feel squished at the table 🙈
