I am so exhausted, I’ve been labelling and planting a few hundred pots of dahlias for a few days in the hot sun. The geese came over to visit this afternoon and did a bit of weeding for me.

Thank you for supporting our fundraising to pay for Oscar’s upcoming vet fees. So far we have raised $150 towards his $800 vet bill in early January. Desexing dogs that weigh over 40kg is expensive, and the price is the same in Yass, Crookwell and at the RSPCA, and no discounts if you are on a low income health care card.

It’s harvest time here and my shelves are filling up with jars of delicious preserves. Time to cut about 100 lavender bushes, too.

I have just delivered three fresh flower bouquets to Café 3:Sixteen, Murrumbateman . They close in a few hours, so don’t delay! Please let me know if they run out and I can bring some more. In this warmer weather I’m cutting every few days and bringing new bouquets regularly.

Please help us raise $800 to have this gorgeous Pyrenees/Maremma dog Oscar desexed and microchipped so he can stay with us guarding the animals, keeping rabbits away from the flowers and keeping our rescue Maremma sheepdog Matilda company.

Please share this message with your friends. The vet is booked for January so we don’t have much time to raise the much-needed funds - he is a large dog so it’s more expensive.
