Celebrating 5 Years of SAGE Mindful Marketing! ✨

Yesterday, June 10th, marked the official incorporation of Sage Marketing VBA, and we are thrilled to commence our 5th anniversary celebration. 🥳 🎉

As we look back on the past five years, we are filled with pride and gratitude for everything we have accomplished. This milestone is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our company.

Project Highlight ✨ Adidas Booth at the KLM Marathon Expo 👟🏃🏻‍♀️

We are thrilled to share our latest project for Adidas Aruba , where SAGE set up a vibrant and engaging booth for our client at the KLM Marathon Expo last weekend. This success was made possible through the professional support of our fantastic partners, Print Media Aruba and Swingmasterz Audio visual & event rentals. 🙏🏼

The booth proudly showcased their Supernova collection, drawing in marathon enthusiasts and Adidas fans alike. A standout feature was the Spin the Wheel giveaway, which added excitement and interaction, allowing visitors to win in-store discounts and free prizes.

This marks our second consecutive year organizing this activation for Adidas. In line with our commitment to sustainability and mindfulness in business, we repurposed all materials from the previous year. This not only minimized waste ♻️ but also demonstrated our dedication to eco-friendly practices. 🌎

The booth was a major attraction, bringing in numerous visitors and resulting in on-site purchases at the expo. We are grateful to Grupo David for their continuous trust and partnership, making these activations a resounding success.

Tasked with pushing the boundaries of our event management expertise to meet this luxurious brand's high standards and requirements, we rose to the challenge and delivered. SAGE joined forces with other vendors to craft a truly spectacular event that reflected the level of quality the GUCCI brand had to offer its clients.

This exclusive affair, celebrating the grand opening of their breathtaking new store, treated VIP clients to an evening of culinary delights, bespoke cocktails, and captivating music.🎶 We extend our heartfelt gratitude🙏🏼 to our client for entrusting SAGE with the ex*****on of this extraordinary event.

SAGE X The Boolchand's Group ✨

This year SAGE Mindful Marketing had the privilege of stepping into the role of Marketing Consultant for The Boolchand's Group Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas for 9 months. This allowed the management team of Boolchand's to thoroughly search for the perfect candidate to fill the position of Marketing Manager.🔍 Leveraging Derin's extensive experience in a corporate company with operations in Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, and St. Maarten, she seamlessly adapted her skills and services to excel in this role.🚀

During this period, SAGE spearheaded several dynamic online and offline marketing campaigns for Boolchand's together with Be Social. We coordinated multiple photoshoots, worked with an in-house graphic designer for creative visual direction, assisted with day-to-day marketing tasks, oversaw the ex*****on of engaging social media content, conducted training for team members, and coordinated with media partners for all marketing material distribution and monitoring for The Boolchand's Group. Along with this SAGE was also able to assist and give direction for restructuring the new Marketing Department.

This experience has been immensely valuable, demonstrating our capability to handle and achieve results under pressure. We extend our heartfelt gratitude 🙏🏼 to the Boolchand's Group for their trust in us in this truly unforgettable collaboration this year.

Highlight Project of the Year:✨ Grand Unveiling of American Eagle Aruba

This year, SAGE proudly collaborated with the globally 🌐 recognized brand, American Eagle. This was a project close to our hearts,🤍 as the brand closely mirrored our company's values and vision.👁️‍🗨️ We had the opportunity to utilize our broad range of skills and expertise by providing various services from managing public relations, marketing, and event planning. ✅

Our partnership featured healthy catering by Eduardo's Hideaway, 💐🌻 playful floral decor by Perfect Team Event Planners, and the perfect beats 🎶🥁 and sound quality courtesy of Swingmasterz Audio visual & event rentals. The event not only garnered organic social media coverage from the vast Influencers invited to the event but also drove traffic from the general public and boosted in-store sales. 🛍️

American Eagle promotes an inclusive brand image, featuring a diverse range of models, and promotes the importance of conveying authenticity and realness to their audience. American Eagle's social responsibility focuses on sustainability ♻️ and eco-friendly 🌎 initiatives, as well as promoting positive social change through various campaigns. Having their brand identities align with SAGE Mindful Marketing made this project a very fulfilling one to be a part of. 💫

Reflection on SAGE’s Transformative Journey in 2023

What a journey 2023 has been! We were challenged to grow through various project-based clients, starting the year by managing the marketing for a corporate client based in four territories, representing various international brands. The year culminated with us working with our first globally recognized luxury brand, adhering to strict guidelines and requirements. Alongside this journey came the challenge of learning to let go and delegate tasks to a team.

Each experience shaped SAGE and for me an opportunity for growth both personal and professional, with some stressful moments and incredibly rewarding ones as well. I must say, it was the most challenging year in my entrepreneurial career, even more so than when I first started. It required a lot of change and sacrifice of the personal time that I had learned to appreciate over the past years during COVID. However, growth in one’s professional career cannot come without uncomfortable, scary changes, or else we’d remain stagnant.

At the end of 2022, after the world passed through a year with no drastic impact or changes in the way of life due to COVID, everything went back to normal. Sometimes, I say it went back to normal on steroids, and I definitely wasn’t ready. Honestly, when talking to individuals in the beginning, both professionally and personally, I realized everyone was struggling with the same change. Yet, we all just kept going on autopilot and eventually adjusted. As a solopreneur, I came to the realization that I couldn’t grow without making changes.

Experiencing my first career burnout led to a pivotal decision: to transition from solopreneurship to collaborative endeavors. The universe pushed me to manifest my desires into reality. If we resist change and don’t go with the flow, the experience becomes much more intense. This applies to every experience in life. In the end, I remain very grateful for the push because, without it, SAGE wouldn’t be where we are today. The journey, though challenging, has been the catalyst for our evolution and success.

This week I had the privilege to give a workshop on Creating a Purpose-Driven Life for a group of 70 students for the Be Your Own Boss Week initiative by Qredits Aruba.

My hope is to one day grow this workshop into a program that would be a part of the education system curriculum for all schools along with many other topics such as mindful practices, as well as personal and emotional development.

The intention is to introduce students to the very things that we adults discover the importance of at a later age. Imagine how the world would be if our younger generation had more access and guidance from adults to the information and tools needed to live a happy and fulfilling life.

As part of the coaching services introduced at SAGE this year, Vibra Halto workshops were launched. Providing individuals with tools and information for guidance with their personal and spiritual development. This past weekend the first ever workshop took place and was a success, new dates will be announced soon for the 2nd edition.

As I close off the month of SAGE's 3 year anniversary💫 with a heart full of gratitude🙏🏼💖 for all blessings I'd like to share with you the evolution of our brand logo. 📈

Let this be a reminder to don't prolong the start of something in fear of not getting it right from the start. Sometimes we just have to start and discover where the journey will lead us to. Remember that as you and the world continues to evolve so does your company and your brand. Even major corporations like Apple have rebranded their logo several times over the years. 🚀

Almost 6 years ago we were 4 colleagues dreaming of one day doing what we are doing now. These women have been a huge support in my career path and always believed in my potential even when I didn't believe in myself. So grateful that the universe brought us all together when it did.❤️🙏🏼

I am so proud of them all in their individual steps and growth in their own journeys. Tonight we will be celebrating the official launch and brand introduction for Memoria Digital! 🎉 🎉 As well this month we celebrate the start of Ivy's entrepreneurship journey! #MindfulEvents Earlier this year we had the honor to work with our first ever globally recognized brand, Adidas. Adidas Aruba approached us with the goal to organize a mindful events for female influencers with the aim create exposure on adidas's new collection 'Bra Revolution' a line of sustainable bras. SAGE organized an Immersive Yoga Session🧘🏻‍♀️ at their store located in Oranjestad. The evening gave women the opportunity to reconnect with themselves with the guidance of yoga instructor @onehappyyogi. The event was a unique experience and something new for Aruba, overall a success and together with Grupo David we only hope to create more impactful events like this in Aruba. 📹: @callmepetit

Meet the face behind Sage, Derin Kucuk, owner and founder. Over the last 12 years Derin has acquired vast knowledge and experience in marketing. Originally raised in St. Maarten, Derin finished her studies in London in 2012, with a Bachelors in Business Management and Marketing. Immediately after graduating she landed her first job at one of the largest insurance providers in the Caribbean. Initially based in St. Maarten she was later promoted to a position which required her to move to Aruba in 2015, where she was responsible for all marketing activities of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao.

After 4 years of experience in corporate life and traditional insurance marketing she felt it was time to broaden her knowledge. After fallen in love with Aruba she knew she wanted to stay and build her career here. In 2017 she started working in one of the top digital marketing agencies in the Caribbean, where she gained experience in an innovative way of work and online marketing. Her dynamic background in both corporate and agency makes it easy for her to adapt to working with various companies. She has built experience in both traditional and digital marketing making her knowledge very diverse and allowing her to develop marketing plans tailored to your specific target audience.
