The purpose of the center is to collect in a same place a big variety of activities for the inhabitants of the city and to provide a physical space for artists and nonprofit organizations to develop their work. It also contributes to the realization of the festivals and events of the city with the final aim of spreading the interest for culture among citizens. The Banski Dvor was built between the

Svrha ovog centra je da na istom mjestu skupi niz razlicitih aktivnosti za gradjane Banja Luke i da fizicki omoguci prostor za razvoj rada umjetnika i non-profitnih organizacija. Takodje doprinosi realizaciji festivala i dogadjaja u gradu sa krajnjim ciljem da se razvije interesovanje za kulturu medju omladinom. I bio je sjediste bana Vrbaske banovine. Od 1955 sluzi kao kulturni centar i od 1998. Ima status javne institucije.
