"We need to bring drastic changes to the education system of Bangladesh. The concept of gender roles is something that is ingrained in the minds of people at a very young age. As a result, there is a preconceived notion that prevails in the society where fathers and mothers have predefined roles. These are things we can aim to change just by changing education. The textbooks should normalize stories where the mother is going to the office while the father is washing dishes at home. The concept of an unbiased gender role has to be implanted in the minds of children through simple storytelling."

In a roundtable discussion arranged by the Daily Prothom Alo, our founding Managing Director Maliha M. Quadir joined the discourse on the occasion of International Women's Day 2022.
