Never afraid to go a little deep & groovy, his emotional musical selections are his own therapy. Coming from the time of Flippos, Gameboys, Tamagotchi and Furby's! But having grown up with great artists like Run DMC's, MC Hammer, DMX, Vengaboys, etc... Cékes's huge interest in music started at a young age of 6 when Cékes chose to go to music school and start to play the saxophone up to the age of 12. His love for loud music started when he was 16 years old when he started going to Complex, Cherry Moon, La Salle, and Café d'Anvers every weekend. Cékes soon got to know the great party concept of 'Feestgeruis', and decided to buy his first DJ controller when he was 19 years old. After many nightless nights on his DJ controller together with his brother Jo'kes, and by regularly uploading a set to Soundcloud, it soon became clear that he created his own sound with a lot of claps or snares in it. Due to his great passion and love for minimalistic deep tech music, he was soon kept in mind by different concepts. After 3 years of practicing day in and day out on his DJ panel, he got the great question from 1 to the other day if he didn't want to play at the great party concept of 'The Cave' in Decadance, on which he of course very enthusiastically accepted, and has had his name put! From that moment on, the bookings quickly came for him and you could regularly admire him in café d'Anvers, decadance, Club Vaag, etc... Until even at Tomorrowland 2018 where he was allowed to enter the rave cave together with his best mate REUS. to open. In the meantime, Cékes had also come up with his own party concept together with his best friends', called 'Die Eckte' with which they became more and more known through their great theme parties at SKAANDALEUX in the Netherlands and Portugal, but of course also in our beautiful Belgium!
'A good dj knows what to play, a bad dj not (and probably plays EDM music).
