Wilder offers flower subscriptions to local businesses. In winter, the (bi)weekly field bouquets make room for long-lasting pieces, carefully composed of dried naturals and handmade paper accents to fit their environment.

This is a first Winter creation for the colourful and sunny visitor’s pavilion of the Antwerp Middelheim museum. Paper flowers and dried grasses in a blue vintage vase.

We have a new book on the shelves. In ‘Notre Pain Quotidien’, French artist Lalie Thébaut Maviel has arranged found images in pictorial compositions that unveil the many intriguing facets of bread. From burnt toast poetry to freshly baked fashion, it’s all there.

Bread, like flowers, is one of those profoundly human elements that connect cultures and centuries, that we build daily moments and meaningful ceremonies around. It provides an endless source of traditions, techniques and stories to explore.

Flower season souvenirs, part III: simply flowers

Let’s put the spotlight on the real stars of the show. Grown in nearby fields, nurtured by good soil and caring hands that pulled them through the most wicked of weather conditions. Oh yes, it was a challenging year for our farmers, with snails and storms to defy, but once again they’ve proven to be flexible and strong. Their season of hard work has not only delighted us flower lovers but has contributed to the whole cycle of nature and food and life. 🐝 There were too many beauties to show in one slide but here’s a few we won’t forget.

Thank you dear and .hortense for the weekly oohs and aahs. We wouldn’t want to work with anything less pretty, playful, clean and seasonal. Enjoy the winter rest and the anticipation for the floral season to come!

Season’s souvenirs, part I: arrangements

Spring and Summer are always so busy and loaded with flowers, we never manage to share all the pictures taken. So it has become a bit of a tradition to comb through our archives at the end of the season for sights and projects that were left behind. In this dreary weather, it certainly won’t hurt to look back on all that colour 🌈

Let’s start with a number of arrangements, big and small, made for meaningful moments - weddings, farewells, dinner parties. All of them were inspired by our farmers’ harvest, and carefully arranged with our clients’ needs and taste in mind.

Are you ready for a new (Wilder) season? Pop in this week for a first impression.

Next to new sights and surprises, you will always find some unbeatable classics centre stage on our shelves. As days get shorter and more time is spent indoors, Papier d’Arménie takes your nose on an exciting trip with a formula unchanged since 1885. The incense paper perfumes and removes bad smells, soothes and seduces.

The recipe of the original fragrance from 1885 remains unchanged: Tradition is sweet with vanilla and balsamic notes. The Arménie fragrance was born in 2006 and pays homage to the paper’s origins with hints of myrrh, sage, lavender and cedarwood.

Find both fragrances online and in store. Burn them on a fireproof coaster, like the ceramic ones by Clay Club (in store) or glass ones by La Soufflerie (online + in store).

We love the way our images blend in with the current .label and .pablo store takeover. Last chance to visit today, till 17:00!

As we often get specific requests to print some of our postcard designs in poster size, we might do a special print run now and then. For November, we’re proposing two of our watercolour drawings, ‘Serpentine’ and ‘Sunflower’. They will be printed in a 50 x 70 cm size (B2), just like our Wilder Affiche series.

For this special print run, we’re working with a print-to-order system. You can order online at wilderwilder.be until 24.11. We’ll only print the number ordered. They will be ready for shipping or pickup from 28.11.

A wild and playful mix for P. & M. ‘s seaside wedding. Hand-picked local late Summer flowers were paired with paper flowers as a nostalgic hint to a typical Belgian coastal tradition.

During Summer holidays, kids build flower stands in the sand and sell handmade paper flowers for a certain type of shells. This tradition has existed for decades and has been categorised as intangible cultural heritage.

A wonderful background for more paper explorations in the upcoming months. Paper can add fun, colour and imagination to your workplace, home and events. If you’re looking for sustainable decorations this Winter, reach out at [email protected]

This weekend, we will wrap up our fresh season carefully and put it in the closet to hibernate.

We will have a last small number of takeaway bouquets available, first come first served. Our farmers have already started to clean up their fields for the coming Winter (and are already planting some surprises for Spring too!) so these will be the very very last.

In the next couple of weeks, we will take a bit of time to refresh and prepare our store for Winter too:
