After 3 savage months, I will be going into full pyjama mode for the next 5 weeks.
What a wild ride. Maybe the wildest in all my 18 years of doing shows.

Our fellow associates Flood Floorshows have a bunch of cool stuff coming in August, such as: GLITTERER, FRAIL BODY and SPIRITUAL CRAMP! Come out because these will be tons of fun. And I am probably hanging around on those shows.

With May 2024 behind us, we started June last saturday with a bang together with One Step Closer, Dynamite, Delinquency and Static Vision.

Next up, we will be back to our Punk bu****it.
Planet On A Chain will striking down JC Bouckenborgh with their relentless hardcore/punk sound on June 19th.
A “break-the-week” show.
The band consists of ’90’s and ’00s Bay Area punk veterans from TALK IS POISON, LOOK BACK AND LAUGH, and NEEDLES, as well as New Jersey thrashers TEAR IT UP!

Glad to have our friends in LOTUS joining us (which has been a few years) together with one of Brussels hidden gems Violent Scrub!

The rest of june will be filled with CEREMONY, Jivebomb, Fuming Mouth, Death Before Dishonor, Judiciary among some of the finest local bands!

Our motto for 2024 is: What is festival season anyway. Because spring/summer is starting to look wild if we say so ourselves!

From April ongoing we will have the honour of hosting bands such as Knoll, Frail Body, Cloakroom, Prisão, KLONNS, Negative Approach, Long Knife and sh*tload of others.

Exactly 1 week from now, CAMPUS will be playing with us as part of their "Homecoming". Throwback to earlier 2000's, this band couldn't be ignored. They took the stage at famous festivals such as Pukkelpop, Jera On Air, Groezrock, and supported bands such as Norma Jean, The Chariot, August Burns Red and While She Sleeps.

With 2024 around the corner, I think it’s time for a typical EOTY sentimental post.

Where to start? Let’s start with last friday where we celebrated and said goodbye to The City Is Dead. I already did my say on instagram about how they are a huge part in regaining my love for punk and hardcore. And how they embody everything shows should be. Because Mendville was never really away but (covid-time included) I did found myself wondering what I was still excited about in music.

And here we are in 2023.
More chaotic, more all over the place, more poorly time-management.
This should have been a year I was planning to do a FEW shows. Maybe 8 at max.
But 18 was never the plan... It’s not much, but it has been very challenging to say the least.

Even if this is a one-man operated thing mainly; I need to clarify that these shows cannot happen without all these helping hands behind the scenes. But most important, all of you checking out the bands and deciding to travel to Antwerp to see them live. I do hope you all leave feeling like it was worth your time.

I always wanted Mendville to be accessible to everyone. And will continue to do so but I need to acknowledge that I have never had to handle with so much emails in all the active years. I try to answer all of them, but please, do not take it personally if yours gets unanswered/takes some time. Bare with me.
It is not an excuse but having a fulltime job doesn’t make it easy to stay on top of things.

2024, from the looks of it, will be even more intense. And hopefully you will all still be here with me/us. My forecast: finding a balance between being excited and not losing my mind.

Anyway, I am probably ending this message with a lot of things unhandled because I never prepare for things like this. On top of that I am not too good in voicing my feelings/opinions.
