Throwback Tuesday: today exactly 10 years ago Red Bull commissioned Playtime to organise the vernissage of the übercool Red Bull Canvas Cooler Project for which up-and-coming artists with different art styles where asked to change blank Red Bull coolers into works of art.

So cool to see that some of those 'unknown' artists back then are even more at the heart of (street)culture nowadays.

Red Bull Curates Canvas Cooler is an urban art project for which we teamed up a fine selection of contemporary and urban street artists from all over Belgium and from different artistic fields - writing, street art, illustration, ... with venues to create individual, functional pieces of art.

Every artist received one virgin white Red Bull cooler which they had to transform into art, the cooler literally became their canvas. Before going on display at the hottest bars, lounges and restaurants in Belgium, each cooler was exhibited in a gallery setting at unique locations in Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp.

The final edition took place in fashion walhalla FC70. There we transformed the showrooms into an art exposition.

Last week we hosted the first edition of the Barn282 4x4 Polderrit, a very laidback get-together of like-minded Land Rover owners full of sun, fun ... and mud.
Cause hey: of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt, right? 🐾

Op wellicht de zonnigste zondag van 2021 organiseerden wij de allereerste editie van onze BARN282 4x4 Polderrit.

Maar liefst 63 wagens namen deel aan een ontdekkingstocht door de prachtige Antwerpse en Zeeuwse Polders met af en toe de mogelijkheid voor wat extra uitdaging.

Wij danken alle Landy Lovers voor hun enthousiasme, maar zeker ook Stafort en De Leeuw Van Vlaanderen voor de hartelijke ontvangst voor lunch en Bar(n)beque. En last, but not least Jasper, Jeremy, Joris, Wim, Roel, ... en de rest van de fantastische ploeg die instonden voor het uitwerken van de roadbooks en begeleiding tijdens de dag.

The kind people of Essentiel asked Playout! to transform the sidewalk in front of their lovely pop-up store in Knokke into a unique Ibiza-Martinique-Guadeloupe Beach Party. And so we did: Fruity cocktails, tasty snacks & fingerfood, big smiles & true summer vibes. Let's say the Essentiel Beach Store at the seaside is now officially opened ;-)

Wij hadden die dag de eer om de 65e verjaardag van Eddy Merckx te organiseren voor 525 genodigden - het aantal overwinningen dat Merckx in zijn loopbaan bij elkaar fietste.

Deze spot loopt momenteel in het media netwerk van Albert Heijn in hun regio.
De hoofdrolspelers zijn (uiteraard) de Renault Kadjar, maar ook Peter Van Aerschot, verkoopsverantwoordelijke bij Van Trier én een gekend tennisleraar in de regio.

On the 13th of February we teamed up with OONA Antwerp and Samsung for the Benelux influencer kickoff of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. During 24h a hand-picked selection of Dutch and Belgian influencers like Rico Verhoeven, Flo Windey and Jolien Roets were taken on an urban safari through Brussels while testing out the newest-smartphone-on-the-block.

And yes, a lot has changed since that day. We have had to adjust to a new way of living, loving (from afar) and working (from home). In times like these we try our best to focus on the positive things and smartphones such as the Galaxy S20 have proven to be an effective instrument to stay connected and informed, but also to find some joy in listing to music or taking pictures.

As every other agency in the events industry, Playtime has been strongly affected by the disruptive effects of Covid-19. Since the onset of the epidemic, cancellations or postponements have become the new normal. But we stay safe and positive, this ain’t going to get us.
It’s Playtime… soon! 🤟

Virgil Abloh, friend of Kanye West, jet-setting artist and supernova designer is perhaps fashion's most talked-about creative multitasker.

IKEA, the Swedish retailer, has teamed up with Virgil Abloh for a high-fashion interiors collection that went on sale November 7th.
On November 4th, 3 days before the long-awaited MARKERAD collection finally dropped, IKEA_Belgium commissioned OONA Antwerp & Playtime to produce a one-night-only exhibition in the heart of Brussels which showcased the collab.

The talented mister Mous Lamrabat conceptualised the convergence of IKEA with music, fashion, art, food & drinks which definitely brought all the cool kids to the yard.

God damn (Kanye knows!), we love working with brands and clients that sit at the heart of culture.

No Sleep Till …Leuven! 🤟

Although IKEA’s latest realisation is all about getting the best possible sleep you can get we had this slightly adapted Beastie Boys’ song running in our heads. On repeat.

Why? Well, being experienced in the art of service and hospitality, we were all exited that Playtime was asked to assist with the opening activities of the IKEA pop-up store in Leuven.

Our services included all catering & bar services, extra sound and AV tech installation, production of tailor-made goodies and overall event production.

As THE long-time skincare expert for babies, children and mothers-to-be Mustela knows the importance to keep the conversation going with parents. To highlight the introduction of Mustela’s Limited Edition Cleansing Creams, Playtime was asked to organise an intimate mommy-/daddyblogger event.
So on a sunny afternoon in sunny June we landed at Stormkop, an experimental playground for adventurers of all ages, situated in an old shipyard near the city of Antwerp. Both parents and kids could enjoy workshops by Kokerellen and Elisabeth Plantbased.

Concept and guest list were in the good hands of the OONA Antwerp pro’s, and hands up for our 4 special hosts that day: Marco de Avocado, Marij de Bij, Sandra de Schizandra en Jeroen de Zonnebloem. 🙌

On Friday 15 February, MONKI opened the doors of its first Brussels store located at Avenue Louise.
And the evening before the store was officially opened to the public, Playtime was commissioned to organise the opening party.

The turnout for the opening was huge as the line of Brussels' Finest stretched in two directions, all eager to get a first glimpse on two floors filled with surrealistic décor, featuring mirrors galore.

Fashion goeroes Sarah Dimani en Monica Ho lieten hun stylingtips los op de nieuwe Monki collectie, en duwden onze lezeressen in streetwise outfit voor de camera! De aanwezige fashionista’s werden verwend met hapjes en sweets. De gedachte aan de Mango sticky rice, Vegan Vietnamese salad en Total tofu doen ons nog steeds watertanden. DJ Bibi Seck draaide de plaatjes en zorgde voor het betere catwalk gevoel. Want in je nieuwe Monki outfit ligt de dansvloer aan je voeten. Bedankt aan iedereen die erbij was, het was een TOP avond! 💞
