One of our most inspiring events of the past month is the European Humanitarian Forum 2024! 🌟

cecoforma had the incredible honour of organising the European Humanitarian Forum 2024, a gathering that brought together over 1400 representatives from across the humanitarian community, EU Member States, and beyond. It was a testament to collaboration and solidarity in addressing pressing global challenges.

With a collective pledge of over €7.7 billion for humanitarian funding in 2024, the European Union and its Member States showcased their unwavering dedication to global solidarity and leading the charge in humanitarian action. 🇪🇺 ✊

At the heart of the Forum, the EU and Member States pledged to address conflict and safeguard humanitarian space, and the forum participants prioritised compliance with International Humanitarian Law. Moreover, the event championed equity and inclusivity, advocating for the meaningful involvement of local actors, particularly those from marginalized communities. It underscored the importance of long-term solutions grounded in the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. 🤝

A special thanks goes out to our dedicated colleagues, whose efforts, both strategically and logistically, made the European Humanitarian Forum 2024 possible. Your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in making the EHF 2024 a resounding success.

Following the phenomenal reception of the EIC Summit 2024, our enthusiasm soared as we plunged into the heart of Research & Innovation Week!

Throughout this transformative week, we joined our efforts to shape the 2024 edition of the European Research & Innovation Days — an exhilarating gathering where the sharpest minds, innovators, and leaders assembled. Together, we embarked on a journey with a singular aim: to drive the EU to the forefront of global research and innovation. From thought-provoking panel discussions to immersive workshops, R&I Days epitomized our collective dedication to driving progress and sparking innovation across vital sectors.

Furthermore, this year, the European Research & Innovation Days celebrated the most outstanding achievements of research and innovation over the last 40 years of the European Commission Framework Programme, showcasing the remarkable progress we've made and inspiring us to reach even greater heights.

A new contract, a new adventure! 🚀

This is Digieduhack, the European Commission's flagship initiative under the Digital Education Action Plan that we are delighted to be working on.

Long story short, DigiEduHack = 2️⃣4️⃣h local hackathons around the 🌍 . The point 🎯: bringing together educators, students and innovators in finding solutions to the greatest challenges facing digital education.

This is a truly special contract: we're in charge of the overall coordination and project management of the initiative - say hello 👋🏻 to the driving force behind our endeavours, Roxana Balaur - and the communication, community building and stakeholder engagement activities that our talented specialists, Maja Andlovic and Oana Maria Duma - are in charge of. Our expertise in events organisation comes in handy too, as we're organising the Main Stage event, taking place later this year in Madrid.

We consider ourselves lucky 🍀: in addition to our great team, we count on experienced and reliable partners. Together we will spare no effort to take DigiEduHack to new heights!

🌍✈️ Discover the High-Level Mission to Vietnam and Singapore, impeccably organized by our team! 🤝

This High-Level Mission - a diplomatic and business operation - took place between the 10th and the 16th of July 2022 and aimed to facilitate exchange and agreements between European and Vietnamese/Singaporean businesses active in the agri-food sector. 🍽️🌱

Our team - Ioana, Alix, Bonnie, Sarah, Alice, Tatiana, Elodie - had to provide multiple services, from business networking, to offering relevant media opportunities to the business delegates and achieving adequate media coverage, while also taking care of the logistical aspects linked to the mission.

This was an opportunity to engage with professional buyers, industry experts, government officials, and media representatives. 📰✨ For our team, this mission "... felt like a business roadshow with your work colleagues. As a team, we got to know each other very well, in an extremely demanding environment - best team building experience!"

And a funny anecdote: the photo taken with the Commissioner and the team in Singapore during the last activity went viral on Twitter and LinkedIn 😁.

Get a glimpse of our work!

In the framework of the TRADE contract, our team has been tasked with organising different types of events - from negotiation rounds to seminars, conferences and other meetings within the European Union.

But this is not all. In addition to the logistical and technical tasks performed for DG Trade, our team had the opportunity to use its creativity and to discover different DGs from the European Commission while organising away days for them.

In the words of our Alix Callaert: "In theory, it's meetings you're organizing. In reality, the palette is wide and it goes from high level negotiations to team events for different DGs, all within a single contract. This diversity made the contract special. And for me, well... it was like a first love, and just because it was the first one, I'll probably never forget about it."

🎭 A remarkable event organized by cecoforma in a remarkable location!

This was the European Theatre Forum 2023, the event that turned Opole, in Poland, into the main stage of European theater industry. From the 11th to the 13th of May, actors, theater professors, stakeholders, and policy makers came together with one objective in mind: fostering collaboration and pan-European connections in the theatre industry.

Our team - Eva Stasiak and Camille Dehout 🙌 - ensured seamless logistics coordination, program concept design, online presence, and participants management.

We successfully combined the on-site event with live-streaming opening and closing ceremonies. This, and the presence of high level speakers from the European Commission, the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and Rakowski Norbert, General and Artistic Director at JK Opole Theatre, contributed to this display of the EU's commitment to the performing arts and the theatre sector! 🌟

It's Europe Day✨ and there's no better occasion to reflect on what the EU 🇪🇺 means to us.

🔸Carolina: "Above all, free movement of people within the EU for leisure, visit family and friends abroad, or even to work and start a new life in another EU state, as if we were local citizens. This is a real privilege we now take as granted, but should never forget. We are better together!"

🔸Anna: "I am Ukrainian, and for me the European Union is freedom and a main reason why so many Ukrainian people sacrificed their lives starting from 2013."

🔜 Cecoforma is supporting the European Commission in their role of Chair of IMDRF 2023 with the organization of the 23rd IMDRF sessions in Brussels on 27-28 March.

As part of the programme, 500+ professionals from the medical devices industry will gather at Autoworld for two days full of expert talks, regulatory developments sharing and networking opportunities; hundreds others will join remotely from the comfort of their offices.

Overseeing the organisation of this event is our project manager, Ioana Petricean. She's looking forward to bringing this project to life, offering participants a memorable experience in the heart of Europe.

Excited to share the new initiative of the Uhoda Group which cecoforma is proud to be part of.
In collaboration with the SNCB and with the support of public and private partners, Liège-Guillemins Rail Station has a vibrant new artwork installed entitled ‘’Comme tombées du ciel, les couleurs in situ et en mouvement’’, orchestrated by Daniel Buren. The monumental and temporary work was inaugurated on 15 October 2022. 🎨

This work of art is to be lived as an immersive experience. An audio tour is freely accessible thanks to QR codes in the station. Guided tours are also organised in partnership with the ULiège. It's the Color Experience! ✨

Main responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
· Review and fully understand the clients’ requests for services and detail the services required and desired deliverables, projects goals and outcomes
· Design the initial event concept and develop creative solutions for different event formats and work with delivery teams to detail the approach to physical, digital and hybrid events
· Follow up and negotiate with clients, partners, suppliers and service providers
· Draft written offers to respond to requests for services and budget project deliverables
· Perform administrative and financial follow-up
· Identify scope for growth (service and client diversification) and markets trends
· Support measures to address identified gaps (expertise) and support continual company improvement on structural level
· Encourage a commercial approach and foster a growth mindset

Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
· 2-3 years’ experience in events and/or communications projects, particularly in the institutional sector.
· Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Comfortable with numbers and in managing and negotiating suppliers’ offers
· Strong organisational and project management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
· The ability to work individually and as part of a team
· The ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven, commercial environment
· Excellent English, spoken and written, any other language(s) would be an asset, particularly French
· Has a creative yet pragmatic approach to work, a critical mind, a strong eye for detail, and excellent analytical and review skills
· Has good understanding of and/or interest in the workings of the EU Institutions, preferably has experience in EU institution projects or tenders
· Belgium based – regular presence in the Brussels office required
