As he grew up, it was time for school and at the age of 5 he went to primary school. He attended school at “Turfontein Primary School up to standard 5, also kno
wn today as grade 7. At the age of 7 he started his singing career by singing in the school choir. He was selected to sing as first soprano for five consecutive years. During this time he performed in singing competitions at auditoriums, and sang in mass choirs of over three hundred children. These five years at the start of his life has formed and grounded his love and passion for singing and music in general. Anton Thomas received numerous awards for his hard work and sacrificed hours of practicing. During his high school period he kind of backed off from singing for a while. But after leaving school, after completing his Grade 12, his love for singing continued its journey, but this time it was more towards the commercial music industry. Anton Thomas took a microphone for the first time at the age of 21. He then started entering competitions, singing at Karaoke bars. He then started performing live at weddings, corporate functions and small concerts and pub’s, sport’s bars and basically any opportunity he could get to perform. He also performed live at charity functions for those in need. Anton Thomas is an experienced and natural singing artist and song writer. His music is uplifting and always contains a beautiful story. He believes that singing is a huge responsibility and therefore he is very particular on what he sings and what the music and words reflects to his audience. Anton Thomas takes his singing career very serious and loves the world of music. His first official album called “Let’s Work This Out” is now launched.
