Pancit Malabon ~

Philippines has many noodle dishes or pancit / pansit, and Pancit Malabon is one of them. It has thick noodles, savory flavor, and mostly seafood. Ours is only seafood topped with egg, green onions, and fried garlic flakes. Finishing it with a squeeze of lime — a little closer to philippine’s calamansi. 🍋‍🟩

Today’s freezing weather made us want some warm and comforting dinner 🥶❄️🌧️ here’s arroz caldo / lugaw (rice porridge with chicken) topped with green onions, fried garlic, century egg instead, and a squeeze of lime. Of course with its perfect pair, tokwa’t baboy. (fried tofu and pork)

Meet the Filipino Menudo once again 🇵🇭

It’s a classic filipino stew made with pork, tomato sauce, liver, carrots, and potatoes. Some add filipino-red hotdogs and raisins. It’s slightly sweet - savory, tangy, and flavorful! It’s best served hot with steamed white rice.

Its rich sauce and flavor is just perfect for fall. 🍂 this is often served at family gatherings, parties, fiestas, and even everyday meals!

😀💡fun fact: don’t confuse it with Mexican menudo, which is a tripe soup — Filipino menudo is a completely different dish.
