Time flies at Broesse! 🌴⏰️🌴
Year two of my plant-venture is almost complete, the building is still standing and I'm still having fun!🧚♂️
That means a sale is coming, slightly sooner than I anticipated, but it's starting tomorrow(31/01) with a discount of -10% (on most plants) that will increase to -50% towards the end of the week!
(Also as usual not redeemable with giftcards!)

Happy (late) halloween!🎃

Spooky times, for everyone everywhere. Plant stores in general as well it seems. Ever since I've started this great green adventure, I've lost count of how many colleagues have had to give up or close their business altogether.
So I'm eternally grateful for being able to continue mine, and I'm eternally grateful to all of you for making it last!

My paper anniversary 🎂
As if it all began yesterday, I can still remember the excitement, the stress and the nerve-racking feeling of starting this gargantuan adventure.
It's been a turbulent year, full of ups, downs and a few aliven't plants.👀
I've never properly introduced myself but I'll leave that for another time. For now, I'll just thank you all and celebrate my first year of ruling over this magnificent cloud forest! Onto a lot more!

Whether it be plants, drinks or an hour long conversation about lord knows what. It all reminds me to keep going forward with it all and making your time at worth its while.

For a plant, a drink, a lazy stroll or just a chat. There's never not a reason to come and say hi!
Running this jungle is an enormous task, but I'll do my absolute best to make you feel at home and let you forget the busy city streets for just a minute.
FYI, this Anthurium 'Botanical King' is heavy AF, but she's gorgeous.👌
It's also a great hiding spot if you're camera shy like me!

Yes it's the village people stuck in your head now. But this Nephrolepis macho also leaves a lasting impression! 🌿 Long leaves, aerial roots coming from the bottom and a dark green colour make this very suited to fill up an empty corner or gap in the ceiling 🤭 Give it bright light, but no direct sunlight, and keep the soil moist all the time 💧

Say hello to this stuning Amorphophallus atroviridis 🙋
A stunning aroid with velvet red leaves and a white spotted brown stem.
It's native to Thailand, and is a tuberous plant. It will also go into a dormacy in winter! Water it very sparingly during this time, to avoid rot.
The plant likes bright indirect light, and water only when the soil is dry.
But most of all: enjoy the beautiful leaf structure! 💚

There's a new rebel king in town! 👑🤴 Meet this giant Phoenix roebelenii, about 2m40 high and full of beauty. The plant can grow both in- & outdoors, but best to keep it inside during the cold wintermonths. They thrive in a sunny spot and like to be watered regularly. They originate from Indochina/SE asia. But for sure it's an eyecatcher in every room 👀
Can be delivered in the bigger region of Ghent!

Final call for repotting! 🌱 Days are getting shorter, and plants are about to get ready for their hibernation. To avoid too much stress, repot before the end of summer if it was still on your to-do list ✅
And for those who gave our Bio-Kultura fertizlizer at the beginning of spring: now's a good time to give a new load of pellets! 🍴

Our biological Neem oil is back in stock! And although we love plants and animals, we hate pests 🦠
We also hate chemicals, and that's where this Neem oil comes in. Add about 5% of the oil to your water sprayer bottle (and a little bit of dish soap to mix the oil with water) and spray it on your infected plants. The outcome wil leave a sticky layer on your plants that smells a bit like garlic, but that pests really hate.
Leave it on there for about 1,5 to 2 weeks, and then rinse it off with water. Afterwards, check your plants regularly and repeat if necessary!
You can spray to prevent as well, but only add 1% Neem oil in that case.
Bye bye pests! 🤭
