It is known that social media are volatile. That they have now grown into a time-consuming 'money machine', too. There is nothing wrong with that in itself and they can be great tools, as long as they do not take over or overshadow your life. Forget about chasing likes and let everything take its course. Sometimes it takes a very long time before certain things are discovered. But if man is not ready for it, one should not resist it. Time will tell. So no more unnecessary spam for me and just let things take their course. Do not give too much weight to things that cannot be influenced in the short term or that cost too much unnecessary energy to reach a certain point. Usually the environment has forgotten this the next day, as a new stream of content comes rolling over us. Evolution happens slowly, so there is little left for us to do other than enjoy what happens in our limited lives. To achieve this, you often first have to accept, learn, grow and gain insights. Looking for the 'I', a process that we all have to go through in the meantime, as we have lost our individuality and place in the whole. I also follow the same path when mixing music by connecting various things in a naturally organic way, so that one can tell a story that remains fascinating until the end. Sometimes it may take some effort, but in the end the reward will be worth the journey. .

Charlotte de Witte (31) werd voor de vierde keer verkozen tot beste techno-artiest in de wereld door het Britse vakblad DJ Mag. Dat liet de Gentse weten op haar Facebook.

Klaar om vanavond mee te schrijven aan een nieuw stuk geschiedenis in Gent. Het was zonder voorbedachte rade, maar vandaag zal het eerste lied, binnen de officieuze ( voor de echte opening dienen jullie nog even te wachten)context, dat door de geluidsinstallatie jullie oren tegemoet zal komen, door mij gekozen en gedraaid zijn.

Ook ik ben volledig benieuwd naar deze nieuwe mogelijkheid voor het Gentse Cultuurlandschap en de muziekscene. En vooral blij dat dit in gezelschap mag gebeuren van een voor mij vree wijs duo. In tussentijd is Brik Tu-Tok al aan langspeler drie en hebben ze op onze dansbenen gemunt.

Een prettig gestoorde manier om dit stuk muziekgeschiedenis van de juiste kleuring te voorzien en dit in het goed gezelschap van Asa Moto & Sergeant.

Nadien is er nog een openingsfeest voorzien waar o.a. Nico Juice jullie dansbenen nog meer zal uittesten.

Laat de controle gerust achterwege en laat jullie vanavond allemaal eens goed gaan!

That's it, Sonic City Festival. With U.S. Girls as the deserved winner, whatever anyone else may say. Even interesting the past two days were The Germans, Deki Alem, Lucrecia Dalt & Decisive Pink (Kate NV & Angel Deradoorian).

Slight reservations about the performance of their concert, but happy to have seen them: Laima & Jockstrap

Everything else, I didn't see, was negligible or just not good enough to be on the bill. You should have been there to decide who was in which selection.

For the rest, we also enjoyed family and friends and two pleasant restaurant visits.

Tip for a next edition: A fourth stage so that the waiting times between concerts become more pleasant.

No more time to look back, because soon we'll be back on the road for Yaeji's concert in AB - Ancienne Belgique!!!

I would say: 'We're all going to Trefpunt tonight'. I see others drawing their heads above the tables and thinking, 'why?'. Simply because this duo from Barcelona come by and give it a rag anyway. Just try to listen to their energetic raw electronica laced with declamatory lyrics in Spanish. And how I know this. This year in May I was able to taste their antics during their visit to Nuits sonores in Lyon and I was already happy with it.
