Thomas Dekker or better know as “Absjaar” born on the 29th of January 1998. Originally from the Netherlands but raised in Belgium.
Growing up in Zandhoven (a small remote village next to the city of Antwerp), music was always one of the main things that kept him entertained when there was nothing to do. At a young age he started developing a taste for all kinds of music. From Hiphop/Rap to Indierock to Reggae to Metal you name it ! But it wasn’t until a later age that he discovered the world of Electronic Music. Partying the weekends away at legendary Belgian Techno clubs like Ampere, CDA, Petrol, Kompass, Fuse,... and then later discovering the Freeparty scene.
Being drawn to the culture and ideology of the Tekno scene, he decided he wanted to be a bigger part of it. He started to collect lots of vinyl (Mainly Tribe and Mental Tekno) and started practicing his mixing skills. Always looking up to the likes of legendary Vinyl Dj’s like Drazer from 013, Stefan ZMK, OdS#23,....
