This ALLIANCE is expressed through our events. Likewise a laboratory, SUB_LAB organize events that combine, cross, mix different artistic disciplines. Using mainly atypical, under-used, not dedicated to art spaces, SUB_LAB want to challenge the established codes of art and bring it to an entire new experience!

⋗ WE AIM TO MAKE A CHANGE
Our events gather radical minds in an absurd, sharp, underground context. The intent is not only to be memorable, not only to entertain but to be meaningful and to communicate. We want to place these artistic practices at the crossroads of cultural, social and political issues.

Sublab in collaboration with UMI, a nightclub committed to safety in nightlife environments and known for its awareness-raising and training initiatives against risky behaviors present NIGHT FALL. An exhibition aims to raise awareness about the dangers women and gender minorities *(FLINTA: Women, Le****ns, Intersex, Non-Binary, Trans, and Agender people) face, particularly during nighttime journeys related to their social life.

The exhibition will take place in June in a unique and symbolic space: a metro station. This location, both familiar and charged with potential tensions, perfectly reflects the challenges of public space for women and gender minorities and creates an immediate connection with visitors by confronting them with a shared reality.

Whether you are a painter, photographer, videographer, poet, or writer, come join us to denounce street and night harassment by bringing your personal touch to the cause.

This exhibition aims to

🎨 Raise awareness and break the silence around harassment.

💪 Highlight resistance, hope, and the dream of a world where every women and gender minorities can move freely and safely in public spaces.

Practical informations

• Exhibition dates: June 20, 2025 - December 20, 2025
• Location: Bourse Metro Station, Brussels
• To apply, please fill out the form before 1/03
• Selected artists will be announced on 7/03
• A production allowance will be provided to each selected artist to support their creative work

Thank you all for this amazing Saturday! ✨ As you may have noticed, Sublab has been organizing fewer events in recent years. As volunteer co-founders, we’ve had to balance our personal and professional lives, focusing on what truly makes Sublab special and what we love about it. But our passion for bringing you unique experiences in unexpected places is still alive! Whether it’s a vernissage at Qartier (right in the middle of a metro station) or like this Saturday at the beautiful Cinquantenaire these moments feel more aligned with the Sublab DNA: shifting towards fewer events, more meaningful ones. It was amazing to see that you are still as excited as ever and showed up with the same energy. This event was especially symbolic for us—we reunited with Percusauvage, a percussion group we worked with 7 years ago, invited our friend and DJ, R.O, who recently returned from the States, and witnessed our co-founder Laly’s very first DJ set! It felt like a big family reunion, and seeing you all enjoy it made it even more special. 💛 We hope to see you very soon again! Céline, Laly & Marius
