Skatepark Velodroom has been a place we've called home for years at this point. This is where we held our first parties, and this is where we hope to hold our last. However, there is a problem. Some residents of a newly built apartment complex have taken issue with this.

They have filed a petition to cease events at this site, a location that has been home to many such events for decades now. This, coupled with the fact that the city has already limited events to one per summer month (July and August), has prompted us to believe that this is worth fighting for. Together with Jeugdhuis De Kim, who occupy the site every summer as a meeting place for youth and culture, as well as other organizers, we will enter into a dialogue with the city.

Jeugdhuis De Kim has also started a petition to show that we are not alone in our belief that places like this should remain a space for youth and youth culture. We hope that everyone who feels the same will sign this petition, not just for us, but for everyone involved.
