A little article about the benefits of this neglected , hated and annoying w**d that grows everywhere here in UK , being unpopular for its resilience for growing as it destroys pavements, spoils the appearance of a manicured lawns on your back garden or even being 'poisoning' to small pets or children when eating them without supervision.

We first heard about it was when introduced to has apparently been made since the 13th century and was originally a fermented drink using roots from the dandelion and burdock plants. Legend has it that it was invented by St Thomas Aquinas, who after a hard night of partying, I mean praying stumbled out at dawn proclaiming he is "trusting God to provide".

Skepticism apparts from profanities, as it comes from our dear eccentric friend and as Yorkshire as its sounds and all that lot ; we decide to give it a try and beleive me : it's delicious !

Served chilled on a pint full of ice , it allows to release all that fruity and sweetness of vanilla/anis flavours.

It may be a help alternative to confused the tastes buds and brains of a coca-cola addicted like us to quit

Shame nowadays it's not so easy to find on shelves of the largest supermarkets or on the highstreets.

But if you look carefully around your local off-license you may get luck to find them being sold in its traditional glass bottle or in can version.

And sadly today we loose another & TALENTED SINGER , ARTIST & ICONIC MUSIC LEGEND that deliveres this powerful song with lyrics that always touches our soul and every time it plays ,often brings tears of mixed feelings between nostalgy, loneliness and reflection.

It certainly brings back wonderful memories of another unforgettable period in our lives , right back in our hometown Recife, when we first listened to these lyrics being singed-along by my beloved darling KINHA , who more than a girlfriend, became the trailblazer for who we couldnt guess devided my life-story separating over 25 years ago and greatiful for her love me back, helping me to be the person I became today.
