Originally produced in 1987 by the Dundas Repertory Company and performed at the Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts. The Libretto was written by Winston V. Saunders and Philip A. Burrows. The Music was composed by Cleophas R.E. Adderley Jr. A subsequent production was staged in 1998 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Bahamian Independence. Both productions were directed by Philip A. Burrows and Winston V. Saunders.
