I have been holding on for a long time but as I today received the last part of the order I feel I need to vent. As you may know I have a small decorating business.. slowly I have been growing a name of my own as I put effort and love into what I do. Now I am not rich nor have all the things I would like to have for decorations. Most times I rent cloths and things I beef from Mrs Maria Hernandez who has been of great help to me and my business but there are times that neither of us have the color the clients asks. When that happens then we need to buy and invest in the things. Decorating cloth is not cheap.. decorating stuff is not cheap either. Many times people contact and when they see the price they don't even bother call back but such is business. On January 02 I was contacted by a client.. she wanted to have her wedding decorated and asked for a full service, which meant I had to provide for tents, tables, chairs etc. I went high and low to contact suppliers to get a quotation ready. For 2 weeks we were in full contact, I got calls even after 10 pm and I would answer. They accepted the quotation and everything fine. However as I said sometimes I don't have the colors asked. She wanted champagne tablecloths with ivory runners. I explained to her that I would be investing my money to get these here. She gave me the go ahead with the promise that 50% of the budget would be deposited at the end of the week. I went ahead to order out of my money Cas I had to place an immediate order to get the things here In time for the wedding which would have been on March 2nd. At the end of the week I received a call canceling the service 🥺 I asked her if I could get half of the money being paid for the already ordered things. It's Feb 20th and unfortunately I did not receive a refund. 🥺 lesson learnt... although it's an investment to my business I lost because the return will not be immediate 🤦‍♀️ won't put names but God bless her and God bless my business 🙏
