The Trailblazer Music Festival is back as part of the Aurora Museum & Archives’ Live at the Armoury series. This year, the event will be taking place over two nights as part of the month long Culture Days celebration. Join us on Friday, October 2 for a performance by The Beresfords and Rob Watts.

We're so excited to have internationally renowned sax-man and one of the fastest rising stars in jazz, Elan Trotman join us at the festival on Sept. 6th.

With over 15 Billboard topping radio singles. Elan’s latest release “Dear Marvin” pays tribute to Motown Legend Marvin Gaye. Trotman’s signature sound brings a blend of smooth and tropical grooves to major festivals and cruises worldwide.

In addition to a successful solo career, the Berklee College of Music graduate has also worked as a side-man with some of the biggest names in the biz including Roberta Flack, Jeffrey Osborne, Johnny Gill, Peabo Bryson, Michael Mcdonald, Jonathan Butler, Sheila E and Earl Klugh.

Elan has also performed the USA National Anthem for the Boston Red-Sox, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds and Brooklyn Nets. As an avid golfer, Elan has appeared as a celebrity and entertainer for numerous Charity outings including tournaments for former NBA shooting guard Ray Allen, and Comedian Chris Tucker.

In 2014, Elan founded the Annual Barbados Jazz Excursion & Golf Weekend which directly supports his Never Lose Your Drive Foundation in Barbados.

This is an act you just cannot miss at all!

Entrance to the festival is free.

For all those who are planning to attend our inaugural festival, we have a few reminders:

1. Admission to the festival is FREE.

2. Sample meal tickets are $30 and can be purchased online by visiting aurorainterculturalfestival.com.

The sample meal ticket allows you to sample the amazing food that will be available PLUS one free special rum drink.

You can purchase a sample meal ticket at the event, however the cost is $35 and you may end up in a long line.

3. You can purchase individual drink tickets on site.
There are no individual meal tickets.

4. The festival is at Aurora's Town Park. Please bring your chair and set-up to watch some amazing acts, local and international.

5. Have lots and lots of fun!

NEW YORK CITY HERE I COME!!! .
Not Right Now, the song that I almost didn’t release because I was getting discouraged and quite frankly, scared of trying to continue on with music.
But, I as I wrote this song, it moved me more deeply than anything I had ever written. Then, when we recorded it with Dan Brodbeck, he turned it into something so beautiful, so perfect for the emotion behind this song that I couldn’t have imagined it any better.
And since it’s release, Not Right Now has been my most “successful” (musicians... you get it) release thus far!
I am SO. GRATEFUL!
Honestly, to be nominated in two categories at the INDEPENDENT Music Awards on an international stage with indie artists from all around the world is such in incredible honour.
As many of you know, I am very proud to be an independent artist. I love my band and my team of believers so much, I wouldn’t be able to do this with out.
