The Kings Table 👑

What is a kings table you ask?

Take the newlyweds, add their wedding party, and throw in all of their dates too. Voila! You’ve got yourself a king’s table.

It allows your wedding party to keep those dates close by and it saves those plus-ones from feeling awkward at a table with folks they barely know. You could even throw in or swap out wedding party members for parents or close family members.

Either way, you’re surrounded by your nearest and dearest. Conversations are easy since there are so many people to talk to.

✨ Gardenview Estate ✨

A private oasis nestled on 60 acres of rolling hills. The moment we seen this property, we knew it would be something extraordinary one day. In May 2022, we moved in. Starting out with a blank slate wasn’t easy, but Colton had a vision that he was determined to make a reality.

Over the course of 18 months, we constructed Gardenview Estate in its entirety! Every rock was placed by Colton and I; the grass, the hydrangeas the garden beds and the deck, everything was built by the two of us (with some help of course). Fast forward to now, we are heading into our 3rd Summer of weddings! I remember just dreaming about the day that we would be hosting weddings, and now we’re here, with about 50 weddings under our belt. It’s crazy what you can do when you just keep pushing through every obstacle that gets in your way. Once you decide that you’re going all in and nothing will hold you back is when beautiful things happen.

Our Ceremony Island!

Completely surrounded by water, you can truly have the most intimate space for your wedding ceremony with all of your favourite people.

A simple floral arrangement or drapery for the arch is all you need for this space as the surrounding nature and blooming hydrangeas will be the perfect backdrop 💕

The first dance 💕

The first dance can come together in all sorts of ways – it can be surrounded by loved ones watching you, whether they stand and form a circle around the two of you (my personal favourite) or watch comfortably from their seats, but it usually signifies the beginning of a good ole’ shindig that is the wedding reception. After the first dance the evening party kicks off and it’s time for everyone to relax and have a lot of fun!

Some couples choose to start the reception with their first dance or wait until after dinner. Some couples practice a choreographed dance and others just wing it. Either way, this tradition is such a special and intimate moment between the newly married couple and how or when you do it is completely up to you!

Do you have your first dance song picked out yet? I would recommend choosing a song that is meaningful to the both of you and one that signifies your relationship!
