Last night, I had the pleasure of experiencing some amazing displays of culture as Dakota & Karen committed their lives to each other, blending their Indigenous and Chinese heritages.
The ceremony started with Indigenous drumming and singing for an honour song and finished off with a traditional blanket ceremony. During cocktail hour, a tea ceremony was held and then the reception began with a stunning Chinese Lion Dance. Throughout dinner, their guests continued to be entertained, culminating with the results of the wedding prop bets. What a fun idea!

What a beautiful wedding, filled with such cultural and elegance. Reem & Riz officially married during the pandemic but still had their hearts set on celebrating their love with all their friends and family, some of whom came all the way from Egypt.
The delicious food, beautiful garments and variety of music made this event a real pleasure!
