To our business partners, friends, customers and anyone who knows us. Cody's House Youth Centre is our charity Cody is our beautiful son 💙
The Old Fort Puck Hogs are holding their 6th Annual Hockey tournament in February 2024. We are currently looking for Sponsors, donations of prizes and $$ # all going directly to our YOUTH PROGRAMS.
Dear Supporter,
On February 13, 2013, tragedy struck my family when my 17 year-old son Cody passed away. From that tragedy, my wife Kari has created Cody’s House Youth Centre - a safe place for youth – with a mission to help youth and their families navigate the mental health service pathways available in our region, and to promote the personal resilience important to self-care and mental wellness over a lifetime.
Cody’s House is currently running programs through and with the Coldwater/Moonstone community group, Coldwater Youth Centre. Holding youth nights in Coldwater with many activities, dances, annual Bike Rodeo’s in Moonstone, and activities at the Coldwater Public School and several other events around the area involving kids from all backgrounds at no cost to them or their family.
Cody’s House is also working with Orillia OPP on structuring programs directed at helping youth and building confidence and self care. We have exciting opportunities coming up this year and are working hard to encourage positive, safe environments for kids.
“We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future” Franklin D. Roosevelt
The hockey team that I play on – the Old Fort Puck Hogs – are organizing the 6th Annual fundraising tournament for Cody’s House on February 2 – 4, 2024 in Coldwater, Ontario. As part of this tournament, we are seeking sponsorship and contributions with proceeds supporting Cody’s House Youth Centre initiatives. A CARHA (Canadian Adult Recreational Hockey Association) sanctioned event, the tournament will host 16 teams of 40+ year-old players again this year, reaching over 400 players and family again this year.
We are asking you to support through your sponsorship and/or a donation to the prize table. Your generosity and support will go a long way to help support Cody’s House. We appreciate your generosity and support
Sincerely,
Ken Smith
