Pourdad is a specialty coffee cart catering to pop-up events and gatherings throughout Halifax, Nova Scotia. It began from founder, Jasper Gayo’s combined love of coffee and being a dad. When his son was born, he sought out a way to turn his passion for quality coffee into a flexible business that would allow him to support his family and spend more time watching his little boy grow up. Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there!

I’d love to share my journey with you. Pourdad Coffee began as a dream while I was making a latte, thinking about the upcoming arrival of our son. During my shifts, I often wondered how I could spend more time with my family while doing something I love. That’s when the idea of a coffee catering service came to me. My passion for serving people and making coffee, combined with the excitement of becoming a dad, made it the perfect fit.

There’s nothing like the joy I feel when I come home after an event to see my son’s smiling face. It makes all the hard work worth it.

I’m grateful to God for this opportunity and for the incredible community that has supported our small business from the beginning.

Today, on Father’s Day, I feel truly blessed and proud to be called Dad.
