Local boss girl Shannon Horvath is the owner of Blossom by Shannon- Wedding Rentals in Belleville. The business specializes in rentals for weddings and events, including vintage mix and matched items and tabletop wedding decorations. She currently serves the Prince Edward County and Quinte region.

Shannon launched her business in 2019 after sourcing, designing and decorating venue spaces for her own wedding.

“As a full time firefighter, I fell in love with the event design process and it filled a void that I had as a female in a predominantly male-dominated trade,” says Shannon. “I was able to finally express my femininity in a way that also helped others.”

As a firefighter, Shannon takes great pride in helping those who could potentially be experiencing the worst day of their life. Today, Blossom by Shannon gives her a beautiful opportunity to help couples on one of the best days of their life.

“Firefighting brings great joy to my life working with such strong, skilled coworkers but everyday I'm thankful that I took the leap to begin Blossom by Shannon Rentals,” says Shannon.

Shannon has called Belleville home for the past six years. She lives there with her husband, daughter and canine sidekick Ryder the Bull Terrier.

Let me tell you a story.

There is $700 worth of gold flatware stuck in Miami Florida. The end. How did this happen? I don’t know! 🤦🏻‍♀️ But this is a tiny glimpse into the growing pains of a small business.

I am working towards being able to service more than one or two weddings a weekend and with this small addition, finally I will be able to achieve it!
