Ribbon Cutting

The Belleville Lions Club along with stakeholders from City Mayor Neil Ellis, Representatives of Taskforce Engineering and Abigail’s Learning Centre held a ribbon cutting ceremony this past Tues June 11 at the Lions Club on Station St. to showcase and celebrate the grand opening of the buildings new wheelchair accessible ramp.

The Belleville Lions Club is a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfil those needs.

Abigail's was established in 1995, under the guidance and vision of Dr. Harold Goldsman, as a place for children of families that 'fall through the cracks' to develop life skills to empower them in their daily living. In 1996 Dr. Goldman’s vision of a program for early childhood development and parenting became a reality when it located into the Lions building at 119 Station St.
A partnership was formed and another community project was created which has since helped countless numbers of people in our community.

Lions and Abigail’s extend our gratitude to the City of Belleville and TASKFORCE ENGINEERING for their support in completing this project.
