CONFIRMED PERFORMER # 2

We are very excited to announce that we have just confirmed DEREK STRONG will be performing on Saturday, August 10th for our JAM ON DA ROCK Music Showcase!

Derek Allan Strong is a singer/songwriter born in Port aux Basques, and raised in Corner Brook, NL. He’s a retired RCMP officer who has lived in 6 provinces, now lives with his family in Torbay, NL.
Derek started his musical life at age 5 on the stage of the Arts And Culture Centre in Corner Brook and has been actively involved in music ever since, including an early career in radio broadcasting at CFCB.
While in British Columbia Derek released a full CD – I’ll Be There – which did well, receiving airplay and excellent reviews at the time.
His first release of 2024, “What If It’s Alright”, represents Derek’s return to the music industry and was recorded in downtown St. John’s. Since then there have been two more releases, “Did The Boy Ever Get The Girl” and “Twice As Much” which can be found on all the streaming platforms.
