Fresh fruit, organic touches, and a nod to the birthday girl’s love for chickens… 🍓 🤍 🐓

We celebrated the birthday girl with a hint of the color pink, using subtle ways to incorporate the girly hue.

's tall and light 4 layered cake was a strawberry lover’s delight. Strawberries sandwiched between its layers, mixed into the ethereal whipped frosting, and in a sugar-dusted pile on top was a delicious way to incorporate the fun, feminine color.

Thoughtful touches were at the forefront of my design for this special baby shower. When I received a request to decorate for the baby shower of an old childhood friend, I knew I had to get this one right. I wanted to keep it in line with her as a person - organic, natural, and minimal.

Flowers and fresh greens are particularly appropriate for a celebration of birth and delivered once again for me. With assorted greens and whites in terracotta pots and the sweetest little bud vases, she brought my vision to life.

Guests shared in a brunch, which by its nature, is relaxed and easy. A perfect setting for this particular baby shower and mom-to-be. Classic baked goods, fresh fruit, and farm fresh eggs conjure up memories of childhood meals - sweet and savoury flavours that warm your belly and your heart.

We shellebrated with the mermaids today! The whimsy of oceanic folklore had the guests (sea)starry-eyed with the help of and their mermaid collection from . Dreamy pinks and greens made beautiful colorscapes, and scale-like shimmer worked wonderfully as an accent on everything.

The hand made starfish wands were a huge hit and it was so fun sharing beach treasures from my personal collection.

The birthday girl did a fine job decorating her own cake with mermaid tails and seashell sprinkles. ’s mermaid cake toppers made completing the mermaid look easy and fun.

Happy Thanksgiving from my home to yours. We hosted some of our family today, complete with turkey and a bonfire. Feeling thankful for this space and the people we get to share it with.

Traditionally, grandmothers are the matriarchs of the family and deserve to be celebrated as such. And that’s just what we did for Gramma’s 90th birthday.

An intimate party with just immediate loved ones, opting out of a larger fête. Though this didn’t stop the grand entrance as the family lined the driveway, giving way to the guest of honour with clapping and cheers as she arrived at her surprise party.

The barn was adorned with locally grown, market flowers, hanging ferns, draped bunting, and moody colours.

The smell of a buffet of all the family's famous foods wafted through the barn with Aunt Gwen’s famous pound cake on the cake stand. 📸:

When you first drive into the Gaspereau Valley you can’t help but swoon over its picturesque views. It doesn’t hurt that the region is not only scenic but also celebrated for its grapes. Abundant with wineries, it’s no wonder getting married amongst the vines is a popular choice by couples.

Benjamin Bridge is no exception. Their acres of rolling vineyard, open-air terrace, and delicious assortment of refreshing wines make for an idyllic setting. Embellished with stunning floral swag, our copper background was the perfected added touch to this already amazing natural backdrop.

Springtime allows for working fresh, easy touches into all aspects of the day. Wine, mimosas, and citrus-infused waters for beverages; fresh fruit, charcuterie boards with homemade jams (both made by the father-of-the-bride), and handmade bagels with whipped cream cheese & fruit tarts (MAD Bakery) made for a delightful, light brunch.

The best part about hosting a spring bridal shower? The endless amounts of in-season blooms at your disposal. made executing this garden-themed bridal shower a breeze.

A special chair for the guest of honour, a table adorned with floral patterned china, pink hues, the sweetest floral arrangements, and the loveliest of people all created a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

The icing on the cake was the fun, interactive Bouquet Bar. This deserves a post of its own. Be sure to watch for it!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for... an ice cream birthday party!

We whipped up a celebration with a rainbow of colours and all the fixings. With the sweet-as-ice-cream birthday girl, Lydia’s fourth birthday was a delightful summer dream sprinkled with love. Sharing it all with little friends was the cherry on top 🍒🍦✨
