Hello my cheese community! I hope everyone is doing well and staying dry today☔️
I’ve been very quiet on socials lately and I thought it was time to explain what’s going on behind the scenes.
As some of you know, I had my first son June 2022. It was a whirlwind and I feel like that hasn’t changed since 😂 I’ve been doing my best to divide my energy between moming and running my own business.
Before my motherhood journey, I felt confident I could successfully continue to do both. As a shock to probably no one besides myself, it’s been extremely challenging.
As my son has gotten older, he’s become busier and is needing more of my attention. I’ve definitely being struggling lately, and feeling guilty.
I started this little cheese biz in 2020, and have poured myself into it ever since. I left my corporate life behind, and never looked back. That being said, things have gotten too overwhelming and something has to give. So I’ve decided to take a temporary step back, and focus on finding childcare that is the right fit for my family.
Whilst scaling back, I won’t be taking on any individual orders at this time. I am still offering catering services (grazing tables and multi-board board/box orders) with 2-3 week advance notice.
This is a very scary post to write and publish, but I feel like this is what is best for my family at this time.
My goal is to be back in full swing by the fall. I appreciate all the love and support the local community has shown me for the past 4 years. And I can’t wait to get back into the kitchen on a full time basis.
Lots of love, cheese & 🍷
