Friends - somehow, someway it is the last week of June 😅
We feel like we’ve been through a spin cycle of beautiful blooms and fabulous couples over the last four weeks. Thanks for bearing with us as we’ve navigated a very busy first month of the season.
These beautiful shots are from this past Saturday! Congratulations Kara & Melvin! The rain couldn’t stop the sunshine of the florals and the bridesmaid dresses.

Mother’s Day pre-orders are now live on our website!

This year’s options are:

1) The Flower Child classic - $80

The most popular choice every Mother’s Day, the Flower Child classic is a hand-tied mixed bouquet brimming with premium blooms in shades of pink, purple, peach & yellow. Flowers types include ranunculus, peonies, roses, tulips, gerpoms, veronica, stocks, carnations, chrysanthemums & eucalyptus. This bouquet is beautifully wrapped in paper and ready for the recipient to place in their own vase*. Includes about 25 stems.

*Upgrade
the bouquet to a container arrangement for an extra $25. Arranged by Allison in a white ceramic compote.

2) The Flower Child supreme - $125

An upgrade from the previous, this bouquet features the same colours and flower types as the classic, but is much larger! It comes beautifully wrapped in paper and ready for the recipient to place in their own vase*. Includes about 40 stems.

3) The double tulip dozen - $45

A simple, beautiful hand-tied bouquet of stunning double tulips from Holland with eucalyptus accents. In shades of pink, light purple and peach, these blooms mimic peonies with their extra layers of petals. This bouquet is beautifully wrapped in paper and ready for the recipient to place in their own vase.

There’s nothing quite like receiving a wedding album during a particularly grey, ‘nothing at all inspires me’ week. In two months time we will be up to our eyeballs in flowers again, so we are trying to embrace what’s left of the slower pace. Still, some days are just blah.
This gallery was such a delight to go through. Florists put a lot of care and detail into their work, and it’s so refreshing when that is reflected in the photography. The angles, the star blooms, the placements - all highlighted through ’s expert lense. Thanks for being just as particular as I am, Carlyn. Our industry is lucky to have you.

📢 ✨An Amy appreciation post:
Here’s to my partner, both in life and in business.
In case you didn’t know much about Amy’s role in the business, here’s a wee backstory. Amy moved to Muskoka, my home, with me in late 2019 after we met in Toronto in 2018. We moved into my parents’ basement actually. She left behind everything and everyone familiar that was the city, and then tried to find her place in a small town amidst a pandemic. Shortly after moving here we lost Amy’s dad. We built our house throughout 2020 and early 2021, eloped during that time, and continued to grow the business. We basically just threw her into a wildly busy post-covid season with little training and all kinds of gusto. She has worked to find her place here as an openly q***r, passionate and unique person who often stands out in our little community. It has had a lot of ups and downs.
Yet through all of that Amy works so hard. She does all the things that I can’t or don’t want to do: photographs everything, updates the website, keeps tabs on social media, drafts quotes for me to fine tune and send out, reminds me when I need to get back to people, does deliveries, cleans all the wax out of our candle rentals (seriously, she spends hours doing this), washes flower buckets, cleans the studio, makes all of the bouts…the list goes on. Amy has picked up so much about floral design (she made the cloud in this photo) all by watching because I rarely have time to teach her anything. She does all those things while also sharing her time serving at The Griffin and making cookies for ! And she gives everything 110%.
Winter can be weird as small business owners. It’s everything and nothing all at once. Dried up cash flow, endless planning, stressing over the success of the season, booking enough but not too much, and reflecting on processes. It’s a constant push and pull feeling. Downtime can be really hard. Amy and I were chatting last night about being and doing enough. Feeling useful. Knowing our place and purpose. Of anyone, Amy is all of those things and more.
As we enter into our 7th year together, all of the love to Amy. I couldn’t do this without her 🧡

Today also kicks off our five days of Flower Child’s festive offerings! Each day we will post about a collection item.
First up, this year’s centrepiece options. A modern take with the neutral “White Christmas”, along with a Christmas classic with the red and green “Holly Jolly”. Both centrepieces come in a small and regular size.
Delivery is available on December 23rd throughout Muskoka, and pick up on December 23rd and 24th from the studio.

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear!
We’ve had so much fun the last few weeks decorating around Muskoka for the holidays.
We were back in creating the annual giant wreath, put up handmade garlands for , helped deck out Bracebridge with the Merry & Bright photo wall, and hosted a fab wreath workshop at the studio with !
Feeling grateful for all of the off-season support.
Last but not least, we put up our own tree this past weekend with another gorgeous Fraser Fir from 🎄

We can’t remember the last time we got to play with full sheets of moss 😍

The bar, cruiser tables and signs were also given the moss treatment to tie in the vibe. Hobbit wedding? Yes please!

Hey friends 👋 Long time no post!
Where have we been?
Well, we’ve had a lot of wonderful weddings the past few weeks (which there will be a marathon of stories about at some point). Also, I’m missing my partner in crime! Amy is working with the Griffin team at the CNE, helping to run all the bars. She’s been down there for 2 weeks with another 2 weeks to go. I can confirm that Amy does a whole heck of a lot around here - making sure some form of social media presence is maintained, cleaning and processing flowers, preparing supplies, making boutonnières, keeping me sane…the list goes on. It has been very different and at points very difficult without her. I’ve super grateful for all of the support from my family, my friends, my fabulous freelancers & , amazing flowers from & , and flower pick ups by ! I’m really grateful for my village, and I’m excited to get Amy back for fall weddings. And also just because I miss her.
Have you ever had your spouse/business partner go away for an extended period of time? Please share any and all tips 😅

Alas, all is well here. There has been a ton of colourful blooms. So grateful for that. Here’s a cute little shot of the bouquets from our Pop-Up Day with
