This past Saturday, I kicked off photoshoot season, my favourite season of all! 💙 Tara of @wildlycreativeworkshops held a content day at a beautiful horse farm outside of Hamilton where 8 photographers had the opportunity to shoot 3 different couples in varying vignettes. I'm currently obsessing over Juliet veils (as you know) so I brought 3 with me! The Juliet is such a beautiful veil for a winter wedding. When you purchase handmade for your wedding accessories, hours of work go on behind the scenes to handpick each pearl and element that are used to create your jewelry! I love freshwater pearls, but because they are a natural item, sometimes they are slightly misshapen, have scratches or are not properly drilled. I sort through every single pearl to separate the perfect from the not so perfect and only use these in your jewelry and accessories. But, sometimes a design calls for an imperfect textured natural pearl and that's where these ones fit in perfectly! Here's to 2024! 🥂 Creatively, it was a really busy but beautiful year. I think our veils and accessories participated in over 38 photoshoots, honestly though, there could be more, I've lost count. The amount of seriously fun and inspiring pieces I got the chance to create and beautiful images that were captured of these designs have been nothing short of extraordinary. Some of these shoots ended up on magazine covers and in British Vogue, others were featured in beautiful inspiration blogs like Grace Ormonde and some were just vanity projects to create magic. ✨ I hope I get to partake in at least a fraction of gorgeous editorials for 2025 (already have 3 on the books!), but I think I will have to limit how many I create for, as I'll be busy working on my next full collection. As the self proclaimed 'Queen of Bows', as soon as I saw the mood board for this gorgeous french countryside inspired editorial, I just knew that I had to create a larger than life french blue bow and dusty blue veil. It just had to happen. Paired with Catherine Langlois' gorgeous new Elle gown in a large floral burnout organza, it was a match made in heaven! Yesterday's editorial was pure magic that was created by such an incredible team and featured the cutest real couple. It literally had me yearning to jet set back to France. This past Sunday was the first running of the King's Plate at Woodbine racetrack. Canada's version of the Kentucky Derby/Royal Ascots and what a delight it was! As I do, I created some whimsical headpieces for my friends and I to wear to the event, to top off our pretty dresses!
