“Jolly Good Drama” Starts AGAIN April 10th - Every WEDNESDAY @ Central Presbyterian Church, Brantford

4-7’s yrs - 4.15-5.15pm
8+ yrs - 5.30-7pm

Prices are $135+tax for 4-7’s (12 hours total class time)
$225+tax for 8+ yrs (18 hours total class time)

**But What happens in a Jolly Good Drama Class?**
(Good question, I’m glad you asked)

Each class is led by Professional Performer - Scott Wilkins - and uses a uniquely developed method of ‘expression-through-play’. This means your little one will be given the space and tools to express themselves, be creative and be confident.

Once the creative juices are flowing, we then develop our ideas and mould them into a brand new one-of-a-kind drama devised and performed by the kids for the world (or at least their mums, dads, friends and family members) to see.

We can’t wait to see you there!!!

An incredible way to celebrate with our 3 drama classes ending the winter term by performing their very own self-devised dramas!

Whilst the audience saw a group of kids expressing themselves on stage and putting on a fantastic show - as a director, I saw a little more…

- I saw a team come together and support each other when they were unsure what to do next.
- I saw kids that were too shy to even introduce themselves 12 weeks ago stand on a stage and perform with confidence in front of an audience of dozens.
- I saw a young person take a risk by sharing an idea which became a concept, a narrative, and a story played out live for the world to see.
- I saw a proud look in a parent’s eye having realised that their child achieved something amazing.

This is why I love drama

🥳🎭Jolly Good Drama is Back!!!🎭🥳 KIDS DRAMA CLASSES in Brantford every Wednesday starting 10th Jan @ Central Presbyterian Church.

There will be 2 classes:
4-7’s - 4:15-5:15pm
8 + - 5:30-7:00pm

Each class runs for 12 sessions and will conclude with a 🏆World Premiere🏆 live performance of a drama completely created by the kids themselves!!!

Wow! What a magical year that was!!!
168 performances, 4 original self-devised dramas and 1,000’s of belly laughs along the way.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported Rumple and Jolly Good Drama over the past 12 months. It’s been a crazy rollercoaster ride and I’m super excited to put some rather (over) ambitious plans into action in 2024.

So buckle up, sit tight and keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times because who knows what twists and turns may come in 2024.

Recently I was performing for a really fun bunch of kids. They were all loving the show until I noticed one girl lose focus.

I wasn’t sure why, but she put her head down with a stern look and began reading a book.

Ever the professional, I carried on, trying my best to win her over until I admitted defeat with the applause at the end being one pair of hands short.

After I said my goodbyes and the kids filtered out, she came over rather sheepishly and handed me this drawing. It turned out she wasn’t distracted, but rather inspired.

Days like these remind me that I love what I do 🙂

🎭 Jolly Good Drama in BACK!!! 🎭 Beginning September 13th, we’ll be devising dramas and creating (organised) chaos once more.

Our last story was all about a Pickle Pie in Space… But what will our creative minds conjure up this time? I can’t wait to find out!!!

I am IMMENSELY proud to finally be offering KIDS DRAMA CLASSES!!!

Let your little-one’s imagination fly as they grow in creativity, confidence, communication and expressiveness.

Each JOLLY GOOD DRAMA course is a carefully constructed program where kids learn an entire dramatic process including;
- How to create new and exciting ideas
- Taking stories from Page to Stage
- A full rehearsal process learning the importance of Constructive Feedback and Self Improvement
- Understanding the importance of Teamwork
- How to use your body, facial expressions and voice to create Characters
- How to project your voice and make yourself heard!

At the end of each course, Students will have created and rehearsed their very own original drama which FRIENDS and FAMILY are invited to watch and celebrate.
