Small Town Smoke Down in Bassano!

Come check out a professional BBQ competition, amateur and professional steak cook-offs, and a kids BBQ competition. There will also be the Show N’ Shine, live music and delicious food to enjoy as well!

Professional teams will start their cooking preparations mid day Saturday, which includes brisket, chicken, pork and ribs!! The cooking portion will begin Saturday night to be judged on Sunday!

Happy’z will be parked across from the community hall from 9am-6pm. See you there! 😁

We’re excited to be back for another season and looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces!

We will be located at the Riley Martin Diamonds for the annual Riley Martin Memorial Tournament from Saturday, June 1st to Sunday, June 2nd. This year we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to kids who wouldn’t otherwise be able to play baseball. Come out and help celebrate the dedication of the ballpark in Riley’s memory and support our Brooks minor ball. ⚾️

About Us

My dad had built his food food truck in 1991, it was made out of an old city bus, built completely by his hands. He created the spot, the now successful location because of him, which then he was kicked out for a Tim Hortons. Finding a new location, building it up, and being kicked out yet again for a Timmies (and still we love them LOL) but never giving up.

Along the way, I grew up working in them from just handing out pop at age 8, to being able to run it myself at 14, almost 20 years in the food industry. Then I moved to Alberta in 2009 and since I’ve came out I have wanted to bring out a food trailer. There is a huge lack for delicious, fresh, mobile food that also has healthy alternatives.

I am proud to say we have the highest standards of the food we put out, with a minimal wait time. I know I’ve been to many events where hot food was cold, pop was warm, or they ran out of everything or you were waiting FOREVER. The biggest thing I noticed? Every food truck/ trailer, closed before the people were gone.

We don’t close up until everyone is fed. The big reason for this, as the pit crew for the derby drivers, by the time we get done and cleaned up, all the food has shut down and we never get to eat or have anything to drink except booze.
