My Why……

My why in 2019 was to help raise money to find a cure for the awful disease my beautiful Maria was diagnosed with. My why was to save her life.

In 2022, my why was taken from me. Maria lost her battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and it felt like we lost our battle in finding a cure once and for all. I still get lost in the hopelessness of knowing that my daughter will never live out a long life. My daughter won’t get married or have children of her own.

In grieving these unimaginable losses, I can’t help but think that it shouldn’t be this way. No parent should have to lose their child–especially to cancer.

Now, my why is to save other people’s lives. In Maria’s honour, I can raise awareness about the disease that cut her life short. I can help educate people about how important fundraising for research is–and what’s at stake in making a difference.

Together, we can all make a difference.

Still does not feel true…this time last year Maria’s beautiful friends gathered by her side to say their last goodbyes to her….this was the last day they got to laugh, cry, joke, and just make her feel the love from all of them….I love each and everyone of you thank you for making Maria’s last days so precious for her…..❤️❤️❤️🦋🦋🦋when you all left she was so happy and said to me mom “my friends really love me” 💔💔💔💔🦋🦋🦋

November 16, 2023 will mark the one year anniversary of our beloved and sorely missed Maria Muscari’s passing, at the tender age of 23, after a courageous battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Her sense of humour, generous heart, and gentle kindness continue to be a light in the world through the endless ways she touched the lives of friends, family, and supporters who followed her brave journey. A precious life in the peak of time taken way too soon by this awful disease.

Family and friends are invited to an annual memorial service which will take place on

Date: Sunday, November 19, 2023
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Place: St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church (5220 Grande-Allée Blvd., St. Hubert, Qc J3Y 1A1).

After the memorial service, coffee and koliva will be served in the church hall, followed by a visit to Maria’s gravesite all family and friends are invited to attend.

We sincerely thank, from the bottom of our hearts, all those who in a myriad of ways have supported us in our deep mourning for the loss of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and cousin, Maria Muscari.

Remembering you is easy we do it everyday, missing you is the heartache that never goes away.
Always loved. Never forgotten. Forever missed.
