Well, that’s a wrap on our 2023 wedding rentals! I can’t believe how fast the wedding season flew by. Congratulations to all my clients on your beautiful wedding days! Next year is going to look a little different for me as I navigate being a new mama while running a biz, oh and we’re also building a house 😅..that being said, if you’re thinking about my service, try to book with me sooner rather than later to help me plan things on my end! I had the honour of coordinating my dear friend wedding in July! These two said “I do” at the brides family home in Brighton, ON, overlooking Lake Ontario. It truly was the perfect setting! ✨

These two were the sweetest couple and one of my first clients!! After 3 years of postponing their wedding due to covid, this couple finally got to tie the knot on July 15, surrounded by all their loved ones.

L + J tied the knot at the Oakwood United Church, near the brides family home. Followed by cocktails and reception at Celebrations Lindsay - a beautiful refinished historic church that has been turned into an event space.

A big thank you to these two for choosing us to be apart of your special day! It truly was beautiful!! 🥰

One way to inject some fun into your reception is the “Shoe Game” 👠 👞

Here’s how to play:
1. Set up chairs back to back
2. Prepare questions in advance or if you really want to spice things up, get your guests to write out the questions! Forewarning, be prepared for some cringy questions (see second photo 😅) and maybe ask dad to plug their ears 😂
3. Pick someone to read out the questions. This can either be your DJ, MC or maybe someone in your wedding party that knows how to work a crowd.
4. To answer each question, the bride and groom each raise a shoe of the person the question describes.

This game is sure to get some laughs and kick things off to a lively start!

This service ensures that the wedding you envisioned is perfectly implemented so you and your partner can focus on celebrating with all your loved ones!

Let’s talk rentals! There were two things I tried to keep in mind when planning purchases for my wedding decor:

1. Do I have use for it afterwards? and if not,
2. Is there somewhere that has it for rent?

Renting items for your wedding is such a game changer. Not only does it save money but you don’t have to worry about the hassle of trying to resell them afterwards and taking up unwanted space in your home. There are so many great finds out there that can be reused to suit your vision! And who knows, maybe you’ll be able to find a special spot for some of our rentals for your big day 🥰

The first item I want to show off is our barn board backdrop. It’s custom made by my husband and I. We had this behind our head table and it pulled everything together so nicely!! I was so happy with how it turned out.

Along with the backdrop we also offer wood signs (similar style as you see here) that say ‘Mr & Mrs’, ‘Mr & Mr’, or ‘Mrs & Mrs’. You can either rent these items together or separately.

Hi👋🏼 and welcome to my new page! I’m starting 2023 off strong by launching my new business called White Oak Weddings. This has been a dream of mine for quite some time so Im really excited to bring this dream to life!

For the 2023 wedding season, White Oak Weddings will be offering day of coordination and rentals for your big day! Our rentals are collected and reused from local weddings. Currently our inventory is limited but we hope to collect more beautiful things as we go! So please keep us in mind if you’re looking to get rid of your decor pieces. Rental items will be shared through our social pages so be sure to follow along.

As part of our day of coordination service, I want to help make your day as seamless and stress free as possible, so you and your partner can focus on soaking up all the beautiful moments. Set up assistance, vendor/guest point of contact and managing the days schedule are a couple of the ways I plan to do that. Because let me tell ya, the last thing you need are people coming up to you asking a million and one questions when you’re busy enough trying to get married!
