Allow me to reintroduce myself…

Hi! I’m Jess.
Owner & lead planner here at PSE.
We are in our 5th wedding season this year and I cannot wait for the gorgeous big days we have coming up!! They are creative, bold celebrations that scream YOU.

A few fun facts about me:
Coffee over tea. Wine over beer. Dogs over cats.

I am a mom of two boys that are my world.

I am not a big swiftie fan (😳) however our other lead planner Christine makes up for it!!

Running, working out, snowboarding - a few things that keep me sane.

I will be your biggest wedding day cheerleader, sounding board, planner extraordinaire so you can actually enjoy your wedding day!!

Since the sun is shining I thought it would be the perfect time to talk all things outdoor ceremonies!☀️

Below is my list of must have items, conversations and things to consider when deciding if an outdoor ceremony is right for you!

*When couples tell me they are considering an outdoor ceremony the first thing I ask them is how is your appetite for risk? Are you someone that needs things all planned out in advance or can you go with the flow for last minute changes? Can you handle not knowing the weather until days in advance of your big day? Will the unknowns stress you out in the weeks leading up?

How you answer these questions is a great starting point to know if an outdoor ceremony is right for you.

*Creating a fantastic rain plan or Plan B for if incliement weather does happen on your day. This is where having a wedding planner is a big asset as we can draw upon our past experiences to design a backup plan that’s not only beautiful but all vendors are on board and aware.

*Ensure your guests are aware that there is an outdoor portion of your day. This ensures they can dress appropriately and wear or bring suitable footwear! No one likes a fabulous stiletto stuck in the grass!! 👠

*Think about your guests level of comfort. If it’s a scorching hot day you could provide items such as shade umbrellas, hand held paper fans, a water station for guests to access pre-ceremony. If the weather is going to be chilly, warm blankets are great. Think about your ceremony setting; do you need bug spray? Etc…

*EMBRACE THE UNKNOWN. Your day is going to be the best one of your life, regardless if it pours or the sun shines. Enjoy this day and celebrate with all those you love! (Rainy days and overcast clouds make for the best pics anyways🥰📸)

We welcomed another baby boy April 5th to our family.
Copeland Mills weighing 8lbs6oz 🩵. He’s as sweet as can be!!

We are enjoying all the newborn snuggles so our response time will be a little delayed. Thanks to everyone for understanding.

The “Blue Room” is a favourite of ours!
Super unique & cozy - perfect for some intimate late night seating, a space for a spectacular candy/ dessert bar or somewhere to showcase your wedding cake.

A&D overhauled this room to create a super lux and cozy seating area for guests, full of colour and personality. We highly recommend you don’t let this room go to waste!

Also… does that cross-stitch get any cuter?! 💕🥰😍
Remember to include all those special touches during your big day. Guests love to see special mementos, photos and items of your love story!!

WOW. What a year here for the PSE team.
Thank you so much to all of our incredible couples!! We feel so special to have been included in your big day. Filled with love & gratitude as we reflect back on this past season.

1 brand new PSE baby welcomed (shout out to momma Christine)

1 first birthday celebration for my little guy

Guests love an interactive wedding piece!
Whether that’s a photo booth, a unique guest book setup or a decked out floral swing, it provides a lasting memory for those you love. This swing was a massive photo op hit for guests at D&M big day.

This was one of my favourite sunset pics of E&A. Highly recommend scheduling in golden hour photos. Not only are the photos always couples favourites but it also allows you to sneak away for another intimate moment together.

WEDDING TIP WEDNESDAY👍🏻

Don’t compete with your venue decor!! A big part of your overall wedding design will be dictated by your venues design and decor elements.

J&S chose The Pearle Hotel for its sleek modern vibes and stunning interior. When your backdrop is already elegant and neutral there is no need to go over the top with your ceremony decor.

Here we chose acrylic pedestals to not obstruct any views and beautiful bespoke florals in complimentary n**e/ dusty hues.
